Best place to cross country ski in the winter (especially when the trails are groomed). Always peaceful and quiet. In the summer, the trails are great for walking or running. The woods are full of wildlife like raccoons, deer, turkeys, squirrels, and a great variety of birds. The main parking area can have some sketchy figures occasionally, but other than that it’s a nice place to hike.

It's very beautiful, lots of lovely wooded trails. You can really enjoy nature. However, the main restrooms are unavailable during the week for some bizarre funding reason. There tend to be a lot of mosquitoes and bugs so you need bug spray to hike the trails. The golf course is intertwined so you can't walk on the paved areas without golfers shouting at you to move. That was confusing.

I've been here before to meet up with people at the tables, but never to walk around. Let me tell you something, this park is one of the best places to go to for a stroll. There's a lot of tree coverage, but also open spaces as well. Along with that, the trails are both paved and unpaved. The unpaved areas are well maintained and easy to walk on. Definitely coming here more often.

We've been going to Palmer Park with our family for over 20 years now. Personally, it's my all-time favorite park.

We've had countless times where we've met family and friends and grilled and our young kids had such fun playing on the nearby playground equipment creating great memories.

I'm saddened that the nearby boardwalk was closed down and removed. I loved the opportunity to walk along the boardwalk enjoying the quietness and serenity of Buck Creek. My kids have had great times getting to go play in Buck Creek after grilling out trying to catch fish or crayfish. They've gone home many times soaking wet as I would allow them opportunities to play in the water on hot summer days when we weren't prepared and it was on the fly. Discovered this past week the road is now blocked by bolders stopping vehicular traffic but you can still walk down to the creek.

There's a great trail system I especially enjoy walking thru tall pine trees and old forest growth. You can walk along the creek and even see a marker regarding an oxbow where part of the creek was cut off.

I've come to the park on my lunch hour many times just to get away from the office and enjoy the quiet peacefulness of the shade while sitting in my...

I love hiking along Palmer park... We spend a lot of time along buck creek hiking through the wooded area and it's BEAUTIFUL... There are always deer back there I don't think I've been back there once without seeing them.. They have no fear of you back there and you will see them 20 ft away playing in the woods... There is a sandy area that kids play in the creek back there and it's full of running and hiking paths... There is a huge picnic area and a playground with nice bathrooms for a public park... It's one of my new favorite escapes from the city scene...

We love Palmer Park! Close enough to our home to walk there and spend endless hours wandering the trails. The trails are clearly marked, depending on how much you want to walk / run. Always see a ton of wildlife - deer, birds, squirrels, chipmunks, ducks, etc. The park is super clean and well maintained. Just wish there were more trash receptacles. Looking forward to playing Kaufman course at...
