Sleeping Giant Zip Line
We had an outstanding time! The very first priority is safety. There is a short video of instructions. There are two choices...one short line across the Shoshone River which is a very reasonable $20. Then there is a second path where you can zip through 5 different stages. The views are stunning! So with the longer choice, you start with the short line across the river to make sure this is an enjoyable experience for you and to get the procedure down. Then, when well oriented, we take a ski lift to the top and it takes about 45 minutes to an hour to ride all the stages down. And for the real extreme adventurer, there is a second choice for how to get down off the last, 40' high platform. Travis and Brandon were wonderful guides and made the experience very special. Travis immediately saw that I had sandles on. You are required to have toes enclosed so they fit me out with some cross country ski boots which were very light and comfortable. We felt very safe with them. Travis has some wonderful stories between lines, and an intriguing local mystery about some ancient petroglyphs. Brandon has an interesting solution to...
Read moremy boyfriend and I were visiting from Georgia and had never skiied in our lives. from the second we got to Sleeping Giant, we were amazed! The facilities were beautiful and very welcoming. We were helped by a super nice dude at the front desk (didn't catch the name! sorry!!) and rented our supplies. everyone was super kind and helpful! our ski intructor's name was Hannah, and she killed it. she was very patient with me (who turned out to be incredibly below average at skiing) and very encouraging of my boyfriend (who of course turned out to be great at skiing). she even offered to take pictures of us without me asking, which i thought was so kind. we got drinks after and had good lunch. it was a great experience and i would totally recommend it!...

Wish there would've been someone to help us know about the gear, how it should fit, how to operate it. Also need more signage. Like "pay here for lessons and lift tickets". It seems like a place for people who already know what they're doing. All the staff were friendly, we just felt a little lost. The lodge is older and bit sad looking, especially the flooring. I hope they're able to invest some money in sprucing it up and getting better signage. I didn't see any outdoor signs labeling the different lifts and the tubing area. But staff again, very friendly...
