2023-10-16: I have been coming to this area for years and never realized this place was here. I didn't have a chance to walk all of the trails yet, but I intend to in the near future. Supposedly, the gate is open from 6am to 8pm. There is no entrance fee. There is a boardwalk that goes around most of Salt Pond. There are numerous trails. Some of these trails could possibly be wet at high tide, but I am not positive about this. There is an observation tower and a small dock to fish from. I will update this review the next time I...

This is a great place if you want to go on a short hike or two by the gulf coast. When went during low tide. The trails are nice and they have a map on their website that shows you where and how long each trail is. There is a large tall observation platform onsite that overlooks the bay. We didn't see a ton of wildlife on our visit which was slightly disappointing but hey it just means we need to return for another visit. There is also a building onsite that appears available for rental for parties...

We walked along the marsh trail on the boardwalk initially. The views were great and most of the boardwalk was in decent shape. Part of it was a little run down and covered in storm debris (it did look like it was being updated). We eventually made our way over to the Ed Center, which was closed 😔. The view from the lookout tower was fantastic, so that more than made up for it. We spent at least 2 hours exploring the area and will definitely be...
