Let me start by saying: if you're looking for the perfect venue to host a private event, look no further than Black Gold Golf Club! My sister's recent baby shower there was an absolute dream, and I couldn't wait to share the experience.

From the first contact, the staff at Black Gold were incredible. They were professional, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. They answered all our questions patiently, helped us navigate the various package options, and even offered suggestions for decorations and vendors. It felt like they were truly invested in making the shower a success.

The venue itself was perfect for our event. It was a beautiful day in Yorba Linda, and we especially loved the corner Lakeview room and its nearly floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking not just the 18th-hole lake and green, but also views of Orange County out to Catalina Island! Everything was clean and clearly well-maintained.

But let's not forget the food! We ended up making it a brunch-time baby shower, and our brunch menu was absolutely delicious. There was something for everyone, from eggs benedict to made-to-order omelets. Even the fresh-cut fruit was arranged so artfully! Everyone thought the food was a hit, and the staff ensured everything was constantly replenished so no one went hungry.

Speaking of the staff, they were absolute stars! They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable and had a wonderful time. Their genuine warmth and professionalism truly made the difference.

Where do I start, there is no better place to have a wedding than at Black Gold. Since the first day we went to view the venue to even months after the wedding. Joni is so amazing to work with, she cares about you as a couple, you wedding vision, and every thing in between. any request we had with the venue or for the wedding she was always available and super responsive. Joni goes above and beyond her duties to make sure you have the best wedding ever, I can't thank her enough. Also, Marco the wedding captain is just the sweetest person in the whole world. My dad has trouble walking and Marco took the time to make sure my dad got where he needed to be at the venue and got my dad there safe. During the reception he always made sure I had food or a drink at my table. I can't find the words to express my appreciation for Joni and Marco, what they did for our wedding is beyond words. Now the food was so good and the venue itself is very elegant. I got so many compliments about the lemon chicken and salmon. For pictures, this place is stunning!! My son (9HC) and I (7.8HC) had the pleasure of playing here today. We played the black tees. I judge a course by pace of play these days and we played in 4 hours and 20 minutes. My second judgement is course condition. It was impeccable! Tee boxes were perfect, fairways were smooth, and greens were extremely receptive. Greens rolled very true and smooth. The only thing that could be improved were the bunkers. They were very hard and not fluffy at all. They were raked and looked great but only had about a half inch of usable sand.

The staff was great and very attentive. Water was always offered at refillable water stations and when in the snack bar and resturant. The carts are equipped with state of the art interactive course maps and yardage markers to the hole not the center of the green. They also have Golf Boards available though they are not for rent just yet. We will go back and have not just a great round of golf but a ride on those Golf Boards!

Food and beverages were reasonably priced. We both had ham and cheese sandwiches at the turn and they were great and filling.
