I caught a nail in my car tire while driving down La Palma. When I began to hear rubber flapping, I pulled into the entrance to this park. The entrance sloped down and as the last of the air was expelled I came to a stop at a lowered gate.
This gate was barring my entrance to the park. There was no guard at the gate. I couldn't, wouldn't and didn't want to go any further. I saw a small building just up the way. I headed there to inform whomever that I would be performing emergency roadside operations in their driveway.
I reached the small building. I informed them. They were cool with it. That is good because I didn't really have any other options. Not like I'm going to call a tow truck, or something. Ha! Who does THAT?!
I went back to my wounded steel steed.

Changed the tire. Got back in my car and left.

Very pleasant campsite with grassy fields and trees. We stayed in a group campsite, the fire pits were a good size. The ground was soft and we were able to park the vehicles close.
I saw many RVs and there are also several small cabins available to rent.
The check-in station sells ice and firewood.
The pool was relatively shallow (less than 5ft at the deepest), clean and a refreshing reprieve from the 80 + weather midday. Signs are posted stating "No Lifeguard on Duty".
I was concerned about the road noise due to the proximity of the freeway however it wasn't really an issue, more of a background sound.

We were about 10 miles away when our Friday job canceled and we were stuck for the weekend. I called and they got us in (Mercedes Sprinter Van) We originally paid for one night, as we wanted to make sure we had good WiFi for work, and ended up staying until Monday. Our router picked up the WiFi signal and it stayed excellent the entire weekend. It was quiet and we were under shade 85% of the time. Staff was helpful and friendly and rate was very reasonable!
