We've been real fans of Baldacci wines ever since we happened to stop in the winery about 20 years ago,, since we had never heard of it & thought we'd give it a try. Turns out they had just opened recently, in fact the "tasting room" was a single-wide mobile home! Michael Baldacci was serving the wine for tasting & after pouring us a very 'healthy' glass of wine to 'taste', invited us for a tour of the wine cave. They were only producing Cabernet Sauvignon back then, which was fine with us as we are 'Cab lovers'. The wine was absolutely delicious & we were hooked for life. Just visited the winery for tasting & to pick up some wine (4/11/21) & of course they are producing several other varietals. Every wine Baldacci produces will impress you; very flavorful, true to the varietal, great body, balance, and smoothness. It is obvious that they don't aspire to make just "good" wine, but great wine. And they are succeeding! Update: 11/29/22 I live at Lake Tahoe, but have to visit the winery 2-3 times a year. Enjoyed another visit to the winery, and the wines are still some of the best you can get in Napa Valley. Their Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Blended Red, and all the Cabs are excellent and true to the varietal. :-{D 10/6/23 It's unanimous! The tasting experience @ Baldacci Vineyards is #1. I invite different people to come with me for a tasting & pick up some new bottles. EVERYONE comments very positively about the experience, & its more than just the wines - its the "experience"! :-{D 5/7/24 It was time to pick up wine at the winery, so I invited some friends that had enjoyed some Baldacci Pinot Noir & Cabernet Sauvignon at a dinner at my house - they loved the wine - so I invited them & some others that had not ever enjoyed a bottle of Baldacci wine to accompany us to the winery for a tasting experience. EVERYONE was so happy for the tasting experience & thanked me profusely for having invited them. In fact 2 joined the Wine Club so they could continue to enjoy all of Baldacci's wines. Needless to say, we had a great...
Read moreLiterally everything about our time at Baldacci Family Vinyards was Excellent. Quinn was absolutely fantastic. He was accommodating, knowledgeable, personable and just a great person to spend time with. A rare personality trait found in people these days is someone who will just "actively listen" when spoken to. Quinn was really good at listening to a question or comment and then providing an appropriate response. Seems small and minute, but that type of personal service is what separates the good experience from the Elite Experience. And Baldacci is indeed striving to be Elite. From the new tasting facility, to the expansive wine cave, to their commitment to making fabulous wine...this place is on a path to Greatness. And last but certainly not least, the wines we tasted during our 3 hour experience were absolutely stunning. Every wine just got better and better. Truly one of the best Cab portfolios top to bottom. And the "top" is Brenda's Vinyard...for me, it was a "no words" wine...it sat me back in my chair and demanded my attention so that I could savor every second. A special Cab for sure. Long story longer, Baldacci is a must visit and my wife and I are thrilled to be a part of the Baldacci Family...
Read moreOverall experience is excellent! The service is excellent! The wine is excellent! I am a cab person but to my surprise I love their Chardonnay and Pinot noir too. My wife liked the sparkling wine so we ended up with the addition bottles along with the 3 cabs we purchased as part of the membership. Andres then let us have a couple of taste of their cabs and they are very gooood! Everything about the treatment, the wine, the chocolates, yes don’t forget the chocolates, and the host are all top notch. Andres the host is very friendly and pleasant to talk to. Though we are a lower member tier he treated us like their top members! I would definitely recommend to give them a try. It was a surprise to us to having found them. We got lucky that while we were checking out Stag’s Leap Cellars online, which is an overrated and had a bad experience the day before, we came upon this winery. So we decided to booked an appointment. They are a small friendly-family run winery and it showed how to treat their clients well hence great customer service will go along way. However, if you are not a member you have to pay a tasting fee.. If you have the membership, you only have the maximum of two...
