A Magical Journey Through Silverado Vineyards
Once upon a vine-drenched hillside in Napa Valley, a dream was brought to life by the former widow of Walt Disney in 1977. That dream is Silverado Vineyards, a storybook winery where the art of winemaking meets a legacy of enchantment.
Our tasting experience here felt like stepping into a classic Disney tale—equal parts whimsy, elegance, and magic. Guiding us through this vinous adventure was Phillip, a wine steward who could rival Jiminy Cricket in his wisdom. With a friendly charm and boundless knowledge, Phillip unraveled the complexities of wine in a way that felt both inspiring and accessible. In his hands, every pour became a chapter, each sip a plot twist, and every explanation a revelation.
What made this journey truly special was the wealth of insight we gained. I’ve visited countless wineries and spoken to many stewards, yet Phillip managed to teach me more about the craft and character of wine than I’ve learned elsewhere. His passion is infectious, and his storytelling draws you deeper into the history and heart of Silverado.
Nestled on this enchanting estate, Silverado Vineyards offers wines that sing a harmonious tune of tradition and innovation. Each varietal feels like a different Disney soundtrack—distinct, memorable, and sure to transport you to another world.
For wine lovers and Disney dreamers alike, a visit to Silverado Vineyards is nothing short of magical. It’s a place where history and craftsmanship unite, where great wines come with great stories, and where every guest feels like part...

We came to this winery with a large group- we thought we had a reservation and told them. We were told in a very rude way that we didn’t, so we asked nicely if we could buy several bottles in exchange for a splash of wine each. We didn’t want to hang out all day, just enjoy the view and have a bit of wine and we were willing to spend a lot of money there. The server, Erika, responded that they “would take our money” and give us all a glass. We were taken aback at the rudeness in the way she said this, and it was completely unnecessary. It wasn’t very busy at the time (maybe 15-20 people) and they definitely could have taken us.
Or, they could have simply said in a nice way that they were full, couldn’t take us, and they’d love to have us back if we have a reservation next time. We would have been sad but would politely leave.
Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
I am actually in disbelief at how unwelcoming they were. We have never experienced anything like it, and we have a home in the area and have been to many wineries all over the area. They said they would give us a splash, and then apparently changed their minds for unknown reasons, and didn’t give us one.
If you want to experience the most inhospitable staff in wine country, come here. There’s better wine at many other places- try...

Upon entry the tasting room is comfortable and welcoming. We did a 2 for 1 tasing of the Silverado flight.Great price and entry to their wines. Ended up buying two bottles. Nice patio area to also enjoy your tasting.
Recommendations:
if business needs permit (as I believe they did on my visit) have the employees who do the tastings, move around. What I am getting at is that I had to get up and get my wine. (I know poor me) after each sampling. Service to me is important and this would’ve elevated your service. I get that after doing hundred of sampling’s, it’s hard to focus on service- but we come for that experience. We enjoy the characters who pour our wine and the conversations that occur.
the gentlemen (balding and light colored hair) just pour our wine, didnt provide a service forward attitude. He did not share the experience or information of the wine we we were trying. He instead focused on the women he was already catering to. Bragging about his free Disney tickets... okay? Rude.
But if I’m paying for an experience- I think an experience should be delivered regardless of what tasting I’m doing.
-Claire. Claire eventually hosted us, after he rudely Brushed her off. I’m glad she did come out and talk to us. She saved the sale, made the sale, and provided the experience. Kuddos to...
