If you’re looking for a winery experience that stands out, Clos du Val is the spot! It’s classic, yet totally unique with its modern facilities that feel more like a Restoration Hardware restaurant than your typical winery setting. The ambiance is so chic and stylish!

We were fortunate enough to have Favian guide us through our visit. His knowledge of the wines and the history of the winery was impressive. I mean, how cool is it that this winery has been passed down through generations—I think he mentioned 90 years?! He made the experience even more special by quickly connecting with us, especially since we were there on a friend’s recommendation. Favian even remembered our friends and chatted about the latest news in their lives, which was such a nice personal touch.

Now, let’s talk about the wine—absolutely incredible! We paired it with a house-made garlic spread drizzled with honey from their locally sourced beehive, and let me tell you, it was to die for! I really wish they sold that spread to take home because, wow, it was delicious.

If you ever find yourself nearby, make sure to stop by and see Favian at Clos du Val. You...

As usual, the new architecture for wineries along the Silverado Trail did not disappoint. The service at Clos du Val was a hit and miss. Prior to getting to the winery we tried contacting to make a change to the reservation, good thing we emailed days in advance because it took a few days to get back us. The service was average once we were there for the tasting, and the customized tasting menus for each party were a nice personalization touch. The wines reminded us of t many other wines we’ve had in the past, but the 2016 Three Graces Cab hit the spot so we had to purchase. We were pleasantly surprised to know that our tastings would be comped if our wine purchases exceeded the price of our tastings, versus other spots where you need to purchase a certain number of bottles to waive each tasting. Only down side was that I had to remind them afterwards that I didn’t get the credit/refund. So overall, we’d return but only now that we know what we know and ensure the bills are all settled prior to leaving to...

Always a Fantastic Experience at Clos du Val! My three friends and I had such a wonderful time at the Hirondelle House tasting! A big thank you to Justin for accommodating us — we always feel so welcomed here. The staff truly makes it feel like coming home, with familiar faces like Lupita, Fabian, and Sarah who greet us like family.

A huge shoutout to Aaron, who made our experience truly exceptional. His warmth, knowledge, and enthusiasm for the wines elevated the entire tasting. He took the time to guide us through each pour with insight and passion, and we genuinely appreciated his thoughtful attention. The wines he selected were absolutely stunning — each sip better than the last! Aaron’s hospitality made a rainy day feel bright and memorable.

We all had a great time, bought some fabulous wines, and left with full hearts and happy palates. Rain or shine, Clos du Val never disappoints — thanks especially to amazing people...
