This area is absolutely beautiful! The water is crystal clear with very healthy algae. The plant life around is all safe, some is even in such an abundance you could forage (if you know your plant life). Be careful, there are rattlesnakes in the area. There was a warning sign regarding bears, I'm writing this 5/21/25 and we saw none thankfully.
There is some graffiti, unfortunately there always seems to be some and a few bits of trash everywhere we go these days. It's unfortunate that somewhere so beautiful could be disrespected, but here we are. We found a total of 5 water bottles, 2 beer cans/bottles, and 1 Gatorade bottle during our 4 hour hike of the area. It could have been much worse! The water outside in the sunny area was about 10 degrees warmer than in the trees, but it was tolerable still to be knee deep in some places. The hike does just end suddenly at a railing, but if you are careful you can hike further up in the water. Absolutely fantastic area, we would love to...

Read moreOne of the best waterfalls in So Cal! Plenty of parking. There is a fee parking zone, but if you come early enough, you can park on the dirt lot, which is free, as indicated on the sign. Big tip getting to the upper falls - Once you go past the railing, there is a big tree right in the middle of the water. Cross the stream after that point. You will get a little wet, but not much. You may want to bring water shoes but it's not required. Do not try any other route like I did. It will be unnecessary and troublesome. Once you cross the stream, you'll have to scramble your way up, and you will eventually reach the upper falls. But if the water is too high or rushing, DO NOT GO to the upper falls. Stay at viewpoint. Other than that, enjoy your hike and be...
