04.16.23: LOVED IT and def will be going back in another couple of months once all that snow melts, the waterfall should be even bigger. If you go now, they may still have the parking lot closed, which means you have to park across from the fire department station at "Momyers parking lot trail" and walk a couple miles uphill, so be ready for some heavy breathing... LOL. From here, it was a couple of mile hike. If the regular parking lot is open, you can get to waterfall within 15-20 mins, max... depending on how fast you walk and / or stop while walking to it. In my opinion, it is def worth enjoying/ doing. Play in the water for a bit, then have a snow fight or vice-versa (if you go around this time while snow is still around). I was in shorts and hiking boots and was not cold since the sun was out. You do have to get in the water 1,2,3xs (ankle high), if you are trying to get to the main waterfall in the back. We (My Lady and I) sat at the waterfall, had lunch, and took a power nap - 2-3 hours, just us... NO ONE was there but us. *Dry season, I would not even bother going there, so I understand some of the low star reviews. Enjoy‼️🤙

Easy hike from the parking lot. The water is cold and refreshing. I am glad this is not as popular and that the parking is limited and the rangers do a good job at keeping the place to capacity. You have to pay for parking and there are a few hikes in the area. The falls are pretty and you can explore and take some nice pics here. Keep the area clean if you visit. People are painting on the rocks with spray paint hence the low rating not sure why this is normal now in California.
