This state park is a home run. Well maintained. Ample parking. Love the walking/riding trails. The only problem is like most lakes in the USA after a heavy rain the raw sewage from surrounding homes ends up in the lake making it unfit to swim.

Excited to spend some more time around this area. Lots of places to fish. Don't be disrespectful, clean up after yourself! There are trash cans everywhere!

Awesome trails and a beautiful lake! The trails are just beautiful and well marked! Nice facility with a kiddie pool and plenty of sports areas. Love the mountain bike trails! The beach is big with nice sand and the lake appeared clean when I visited today. However, in the past spring when I visited the shores were lined with gross dead fish. No dead fish this time though. I do not think the lake water is very clean, but people still swim in it. Aside from the yucky lake water, the rest of the park is...

So sad 😢. This 20 yrs ago was the most beautiful place to camp, fish & swim. Now the pretty concession stand & super nice high shower & dressing building is gone. The weeds have taken over & they even closed off roads because the locals were using it for a dump. Heartbreaking to see. The camp grounds are still maintained but fishing in the lower part for catfish is gone too. I will never go back. It hurts...

For someone who just came to this park for exploration, it was beautiful. There are very many things to see, from just walking in the woods, to going to the various play grounds with your children, to going to see the dam. I could spend all day in these parks, and I have. I highly suggest if you are and outdoorsy person to go there in the spring, when everything is...
