This was a bizarre experience. We'll certainly remember it for the sheer weirdness. Overall I'd rate it 3 stars if not for the high price of entry (250k/person).
I imagine many people might be wondering what they're paying for, let me describe the experience. We arrived at Ice Jungle at 5pm sharp. It's on the edge of a completely dead town, which already sets the stage a bit. You walk through the public path with the music playing, pass a pair of igloos and a fountain and you reach the ticketing office. You pay the handsome fee and wait to be ushered in. In our case it was just us and another family. When you walk in, there're three rooms you pass before reaching the culmination. In these rooms you first hear a story about a polar bear's journey to Vietnam (just a minute long), then you go through the ice room where it's s bit colder and some foam falls on you, imitating snow, and then you reach the lasers room which our son liked the most. After all that you go into a big theater lined with a soft fabric all around, and you wait for a show to start. Staff told us that it will last about 30 minutes and show 5 animated animals for 5 minutes each before some finale. We didn't last to the end. The sound was way too loud (phone measured 90dB, however reliable that might be), I'm glad our son had his headphones with him. The animations were high-touch but repetitive. The sparse narration was just in Vietnamese. We left after about 10m and went into the exit area. There, our son drew for a bit while staff urged us to use our two 30k coupons to buy their merch (all priced above that, so it's more of a cash grab) and to leave them a maps review in exchange for a key ring. I guess they owe me one now :) Throughout, there was many more staff then guests, and they kept taking pictures of us (without asking) as if to show to others "look, other people come here too!".
Would I come again? Hell no. Would I recommend you to come for the first time? Maybe? If you have an hour to kill, too much money, kids, and you love bizarre experiences such as visiting Sunset Town, this might just be the way to throw away some of your money in exchange for a thing to recall back home.
I see now that reviews posted here are def not legit and I really don’t like the fact they took pictures of me and my family, I hope they won’t be used to post another scammy...
Read moreI didn’t know what to expect. Saw some great review and thought will pop in and check it out. It’s basically an immersive show (multi mini shows target to kids group). But I am cool with that. As I have interest in all form of arts/presentation/illustration/venue/show display anyway. For me and kids $10US totally worth it. I do love the little experience before that. You walk through an antique room with mini film, then an ice tunnel that snow blowing around before you enter the immersive show. Now, I honestly do think if the show is about Vietnam, or make special partnership to do other high end art show such as (van gogh, Dali or Picasso) and do proper marketing. You can charge much higher price and have more audience as well. May be have special high end show only for 2 time slot a day. Or add some vr or ar experience to that to keep adult engage as well. And please please please.. have some stuff around for people to do and see while they waiting for the experience to start. It start basically every hour. And have better signage what’s going on and what this is about. I had a driver took me there, and basically timing was not right, came back and again not right and people seems to have trouble properly explain to me what’s going on. We had to change plan, then my driver has to wait extra long than what we agreed on. I...
Read more★☆☆☆☆ Avoid at all costs – Total rip-off and horrible experience
Absolutely terrible. Ice Jungle Phu Quoc is nothing like what it claims to be. The place is tiny, underwhelming, and basically just a room with light projections on the wall — nothing immersive, nothing interactive, and definitely nothing fun for kids.
To make matters worse, during our visit, the projector broke down mid-show and the entire hall went pitch dark. Our children got frightened and started crying, yet the staff refused to even turn on the lights. No apology, no assistance — just complete disregard for the guests' experience and safety.
When we walked out and asked for a refund, the staff simply said they don’t do refunds. No explanation, no accountability. Extremely poor service and attitude.
This was a complete waste of time and money. Nothing educational, entertaining, or engaging — especially for children. Save yourself the disappointment and skip this...
