We went up to Munda Wanga Environmental Park on February 18, 2018. Being citizens of the republic, we paid a ZMW 30.00 entrance fee. We thought the park was well planned and designed, considering it was set up in 1950. While we enjoyed ourselves, however, we thought it was so very sad that such a place is largely neglected: (1) the botanical garden has some interesting plants and flowers that are NOT labeled (2) The ponds/pools seem like they are never cleaned and have have garbage in them (3) The benches NEED to be replaced (4) The animals seem not well cared for, except we did notice that the two lions seem to...

If I could give this place a negative zero I would. The place is pathetic from the entry to the exit. The greeters were unfriendly and unprofessional. I felt like I entered a zombie apocolypes camp ground. The 2 animals that were there looked down trodden and starved. The grounds were unkept. There was one guy there with a water hose that wasn't connected or functioning. I guess he was trying to "look busy". You can't make this stuff up. The experience was horrible. Shame on whoever is in charge. What a waste of time and money. I traveled from the USA and felt embarrassed to say that I was there....

A beautiful place in Zambia near Lusaka. It should not be missed if you are Lusaka, Zambia. It contains a very well maintained zoo, horticultural farm, fossil section and many sections inside the park. The guides are well-trained over there and many Americans and Europeans come over there for research. You can sight many varieties of birds even naturally over there. Its a must visit for those staying or visiting in or nearby Lusaka, Zambia.

While the park has become run down attempts are being made to improve it. The animals appear in good condition and well fed and most have adequate space to roam, although there is lots of rubbish everywhere. It is well worth going on the 2pm guided tour to get a better idea of what is going on. There needs to be much more invested into the park, it could be an outstanding attraction with better maintenance and management.
