Orchard The Farm Shop — Attraction in Lusaka Province

I rarely give a bad review, let alone a '1 star 🌟 '. I am the 'ONCE BITTEN, TWICE SHY' kind of person.

2021.04.24 I decided to take my little buddy (my daughter) for breakfast to The Orchard. We arrived at 12:06, very hungry, I must say. As we got to order our food, we were told we were late for breakfast as they stop serving brekkie at 12 (on the dot). I begging with the waiter and ask led if he could comfort of there was any chance of the chef squeezing in one last meal, the waiter came back with a negative response. We left....hungry.

Today, 2021.10.23, I decided to give the place another visit prior to giving them my final opinion. I walked in slightly after 10AM, only to be told that they are hosting a function and they're not serving breakfast at all. With no notice on any of their social media pages, they just wait for drive-ins to inform us that they're not serving brekkie? Bearing in mind that the place is 12KM from Airport Road, and no one bothered to put up on a notice leaves much to be desired as to where they place their clients.

For me, it's hard to imagine any good experience after this.

We were the first people in , took about 20mins for the waiter to get to us which we let slide as we thought they were just getting ready. When trying to order a breakfast only one of 6 options was availble . About 6 of more than 30 main menu items were availble. Still gave it go the one breakfast item took 1hour to arrive asked for soft eggs it came out hard as rock after the wait. The place is a nice setting g with a decent pool and some trampolines for the kids . But an absolute waist of time as a resturaunt. I don't generally post such bad reviews but this is the second time I experience it at this place. They would be better off charging people to have a picnic and swim and bring their own food. It was an ok experience, a very beautiful place, honestly, the walkways the flowers, the lawn absolutely stunning. The food, woow there were very limited options. We were given menus only to be later told that the things available are limited. Same with soft drinks, they just had coke and fanta orange. The waitress, not the best, poor communication, especially when it came to the bill. And a heads up, it is mandatory to pay 10% of your bill as a service fee. A little tip if you want a more quiet time, do go in the morning around 10 or anytime before 12. I had a burger, and I couldn't even finish it.
