Firstly on arrival they seemed to have misplaced our booking and it had to take a bit of time to confirm it. Anyway let's go to the actual visit after entry... Visiting Crocodile Park I really had high expectations of having a guide walk me around and tell us which way to go and talk to us about the Reptiles but alas none of that. You have to figure out on your way which way to go. That felt quite uncomfortable for me. We then met another visitor who had been to Crocodile Park before and opted to help guide us.
We got to see the different Crocodiles according to ages. There were like signs talking about the Reptiles but I was so worried about being possibly attacked to even read the signs besides the crowd I was moving with was moving pretty fast and weren't focused on reading the signs kkkk
They have quite a number of Crocodiles of different sizes. Then I got to see two lions as well. For the snake area I didn't go in.i wouldn't risk going in there without a guide lol. Lastly I passed by the side with baby crocodiles. The gentleman there was so friendly he even asked us it we'd like to get a chance to hold the baby Crocodile and explained how to. I really appreciated him availing himself at this point so we could have an experience considering we had driven for hours to see the place.
So that was my experience and I hope that the service will improve with time as people come there for experience and knowledge but I don't believe I got any knowledge about the crocodiles...
ย ย ย Read moreQuiet Sunday afternoon spent walking around the croc and reptile park. They have crocs of all ages and sizes and a snake pit that can really help you learn more about (and conquer fears of) snakes, both local and international. Peter showed us around and was a lovely tour guide. He was helpful, knowledgeable and extremely personable. Saying hello to old lionesses, Shadow and Leila as we headed out was also a treat. I'm not usually one to support lions in captivity, but these girls were captive born and have obviously been loved and cared for well over the last 16 years ๐. If you're looking to spend a few hours learning and doing something interesting around Vic Falls, highly recommend checking out the croc park! If you're feeling brave, you can even hold a baby croc (which I did) or cage dive with two of their older crocs (which I will admit I was way too...

We skipped the snake pit cause our toddler got scared seeing the snakes. The tour guide was very gracious and ready to answer all our questions. Loved how he spoke vernacular (Shona) to us and English to the Americans in the group..so cool... The place itself is BEAUTIFUL, manicured gardens and clean! The staff were pretty amazing too...we got to see other wildlife roaming about as well...meerkats and we elephants in the distance past the reserve fence... Feels like we got more that we payed...
