Radisson Collection Morina Hotel, Tirana — Hotel in Tirana Municipality

We just came back home to Stockholm after our first visit to Tirana Albania, we stayed 3 nights at Radisson Morina and we have just good things to tell about it. The location is a little bit outside Tirana but it was just perfect for us, quite and peaceful with the beautiful lake outside. You can walk to the city center 40 min, or you will always find a taxi outside the hotel, it will cost you about 5 EURO to Skanderbeg Square for example, the garden at the hotel is so nice and there is at least 1 person working with it on a daily bases. It is very peaceful around the pool area, you can have a drink or so around the pool or if you want to eat something more there are some really nice tables, the food is really good quality and very affordable ! The swimmimg pool is really big so you can make your morning swim and the spa area inside is fantastic as well, dont miss it ! The staff at the hotel are 100% professional, they are extremely nice and they will do everything for you to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. The hotel is extremely clean, and the rooms are very nice we tried 2 different rooms, 1 premium and 1 junior suite with lake view, booth are very nice and the beds and pillows are fantastic quality, you have all comfortable amenities in the room like shaving set, toothbrush, shoeshine, nice shampoo , conditioner, bathrobe and slippers. Me and my wife are travelling around the world due to our jobs and we have stayed at many different hotels, and this one belongs to the better ones we visited , the hotel itself and offcourse the staff, Radisson should be so happy with the staff at this hotel and they are the ones that make this hotel so good and welcoming, My best regards Mats Ekman with wife/...

Had a very pleasant stay here recently and would highly recommend certainly over other hotels in Tirana, even if not as central. It’s in a nice residential area with good restaurants on your doorstep (Lenti’s Seafood, Crust Pizza).

What I liked: Overall great hard product, quality marble and wood used throughout

Pleasant design and well designed rooms with comfortable beds

Friendly, young and enthusiastic staff (mostly), Receptionists were very kind and friendly (except one), barmen at the pool were fantastic

Very good recognition of Radisson Rewards Elite Members

Great breakfast with good quality ingredients

Great outdoor pool area

Excellent attentive housekeeping

Hotel Bar and Restaurant Terrace is lovely although sometimes very busy (and popular with assorted shady types) also good for people watching.

What needs improvement:

I didn’t see or interact with a single female waitress or bartender. Women seem only to be working as receptionists, baristas, maids or to seat you in the Restaurant. Roles seems to be gender defined, so an opportunity to shake up the patriarchal norms of Albania exists.

Only Albanian language TV stations work, reception confirmed this. Strange.

Emails to Hotel Reception prior to arrival went unanswered.

Hit and Miss with Reception assistance. All were really nice and friendly but not all were as proactive as I would have liked. E.g. I asked about the Seafood restaurant next door I was told the Hotel’s restaurant had seafood and was the same (it was not). Told to reserve it myself via Instagram. Stayed here for three nights with my partner in one of their normal size rooms. Rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable beds, nice showers, and decent coffee makers in the room for that first cup before breakfast. Clean wonderful swimming pools, spa area, and a decent work out room as well.||The first two faces I encountered on arrival were Niko & Edmond. Such beautiful smiles and warm welcomes. They both made us feel welcome and very helpful. We actually have an apartment around the corner from the Hotel now and walk by there daily, and they still will welcome us and give us a very warm greeting every time we see them.||The people at the front desk were very courteous as well. They let us check in early and check out a bit past our check out time while we were waiting on our apartment to be ready. ||At breakfast every morning we had the pleasure of meeting and being greeted by a warm smile of Adriana. She was a wonderful ball of energy and grace that we loved to see every morning as we started our day. ||We also had the pleasure of meeting and being helped with a warm smile and heart of Erikselda in the Spa area. She was as amazing as the others that we have mentioned. Very helpful and accommodating as Adriana, Niko, and Edmond. These 4 individuals bring the passion, love, Smiles, and willingness to give their guests the best experience every moment of every day. Because of them along I would recommend a stay at this Hotel.
