Inn Luanda - Boutique Hotel Type — Hotel in Sambizanga Urban District

The management absolutely terrible: in order to do the compulsory 100% advance payment I got the bank details of the hotel to my email two weeks before travel (I had to ask a couple of times for a precision): I did the payment using those details; three days later the hotel emailed that they had given me wrong details and I should cancel the payment. Well, it wasn't possible to do. The travel day came closer and from the hotel they told me that we will sort this thing out once I'm there, at least they admitted that the error was theirs. It turned out that the thing was not possible to solve at all: they forced me in a very aggressive way to do the payment again using my credit card saying that they will not let me out of the hotel without paying. So, three weeks after the trip I still haven't got the money back from the bank and probably never will. So I paid exactly a double the price I was supposed to pay. Hotel, that looked like a affordable option, turned out to be more expensive than most of the other options. I wouldn't go there again, and don't recommend...

Ok the Inn Luanda is not a sprawling lavish five star hotel but what it does have that a lot of other hotels in Luanda don't have is friendly personal service with a smile and an attitude that nothing is too much trouble and sometimes that's worth more than stars !! Stayed here for 5 nights thought I was at home - great breakfast ok not a huge choice but there is cereals , and fruit and cheese and ham plus a choice of eggs cooked to order. The same in the evening there is only one choice of meal but its made fresh and is pretty good - dinner includes soup , main course , sweet and a free drink for $33.00 which in Luanda is cheap. The rooms are very comfortable , A/C , fridge , nice size bathroom and DSTV all that you need. The hotel is 4 kms form airport and around the same distance from the port and marginal . Would be happy to stay again . Thank you to Manager and all the staff for a great stay. PS Those 5 star hotels I mentioned before are around $300 to $400 a night - the Inn Luanda is $150 and worth...
