As I said in the photos, it was a jem of a find. No signboard until you walked past brown metal doors to reveal cozy seatings and authentic Ethiopian cuisines. The owner, Mike, hailed from Ethiopia (it wasn’t obvious 😀) spent more than a decade in Luanda speaks decent English and was a most hospitable host explaining how the dishes were cooked and how they should be eaten.

Eating Ethiopian food the traditional way means eating with your hands. Injera is the name of the delightful sour and spongy pancake-like bread that’s practically synonymous with Ethiopian cuisine. Made from teff flour, a grain grown in East Africa for millennia, it is vegan and gluten-free, explained Mike. The injera is used to scoop the various food piles into your...

Absolutely amazing food, a real gem in Luanda. Run, don't walk! Until now it's fairly undiscovered, but the food is absolutely amazing, healthy and very cheap for the quality. I am vegetarian and the veggie food is top notch and really abundant. My husband and children are omnivores and assure me the meat plates are also absolutely astounding. Large quantities of food. Extremely polite well trained staff. Longer than usual waiting time because the food is freshly made but well worth it. Note that the Google maps pin is incorrect, it's on the same street but on the opposite side and diagonal (you have to cross an intersecting road) and look for the big brown doors (there is no...

Love this place!! Cute decor, excellent fresh food made to order- so good, and the kindest staff! Would go back in a heartbeat. Can be tricky to find from street- just call the restaurant if you need help (owner speaks English too!)
