La Soberana- Hosteria - Patagonia (alojamiento) — Hotel in El Calafate

I couldn’t imagine better stay in El Calafate. We were visiting at the end of January 2024. This place is located out of the city, and that’s the best part. You have absolutely quite stay, that allows to rest well and gives stunning views during breakfast in cafe area and evening city light view during evening. Don’t worry, blackout curtains do amazing job.

Food: me and my husband are big foodies, we went to different places in the city and food is just OK and overpriced. But the food made in THIS place…oh my god. First steak in Patagonia that was properly cooked. MUST try beef milanesa 💔 We got freshly cooked empanadas for our road back. I mean everything was 1000 out of 100. Varieties of drinks also available.

Susanna was so amazing, and helpful, and nice. I felt like home and didn’t want to leave. For sure best service in Patagonia.

Susana - the host - was the best host of all hotels and places we stayed during our 3-week honeymoon in Argentina. She immediately made us feel like at home with her welcoming attitude and her warmth. The view from our room on the lake and the stunning environment was just breathtaking. I also wholeheartedly recommend to try the items on her menu for either lunch or dinner. The prices are very affordable and the food excellent and home-made. We had also asked her to prepare sandwiches for our day trip, which turned out great. The breakfast she serves managed to convince us as well! We want to return - the place is amazing to disconnect, to enjoy delicious food and to take in the great views. Wifi works well and the rooms are very clean. During our stay in El Calafate, Argentina, our family of four had the pleasure of experiencing unparalleled hospitality. We arrived late at 10:30 PM, exhausted and hungry, and were warmly welcomed by Susana, who went above and beyond by preparing a delicious homemade meal for us. Her kindness didn’t stop there; the next morning, she had a fresh, hearty breakfast ready by 8 AM, perfect for fueling up for our adventures.
