I gave one extra star for the kind and quick service from all the staff. If I think about the room (we stayed, with my wife in a Standard Room), I would give just 3 stars. The Standard Room is just not kind of place you would like to stay, the queen bed (actually 2 beds stick together, bit with the valley in the middle of each that makes you feel like you are sleeping after the big bear sleeped) has too many sleeping guest records in it, yo say in gentle way. The room next to ours, connected by a single door (maybe once were 2... but now just one), felt like it were actually the same room with ours, every single noise... I mean, EVERY SINGLE NOISE, we heard it like were happening just by our side! Even once I thought they were getting into our room, but it was in the next door one... the courtains were ok, the bathroom too, but, yo feel like you have no privacy, or to hear anytime of the day whats going on in the room next door... just put the star down. But, as I said, people service was 5 stars, they made every extra effort to confort us. The inside pool was a nice one, the breakfast was quite nice and I have to recommend the patisserie, it was really good. Also the food from the kitchen was really well made. I don't know about the other rooms, hope they deserved the 4 stars I am giving... but never book a Standard one, too much money...
Read moreI have no idea where all the good reviews for this hotel came from. My experience in NH Provincial was terrible considering the high price (200USD a night (!!) in the official rate).
The location was great and that's all the good I can say.
Rooms are old and cold, the beds have old unstable spring mattresses, both our room and our friends room had the toilet clogged after a few uses.
Although breakfast was included, if you want eggs or espresso coffee you have to pay for them.
No drinking water in the room.
They gave us no option to change to a single big bed instead of 2 twin beds.
They did not help us finding a taxi. They just gave as a phone number and wish us good luck.
We asked for a late checkout and they asked for 7000 pesos (70 USD) saying they were doing us a favour because it is usually much more. Of course we didn't pay, we had given them enough money already.
This hotel is extremely overpriced under any point of view but specially in the economic context of Argentina. They have a nice historical building in a central location and don't even try to be nice or helpful to their guests or invest on improvements. I won't ever come back and you should spend your money...
Read moreThis hotel should be visited by Canadians! The rooms are huge, the staff is super friendly to English speakers, it has the widest halls we have ever seen. It is located centrally, right on the beach. The amazing thing is that they have a tunnel under the promenade to the beach and the tents or “campa” and towels are free to the guests. The tents have a roof and 4 sides. They have an outside swimming pool too - unusual for the beach. And when you see the crowds on the beach, you will be very glad! The tents have 4 chairs and a table. Shade and sun both, as you prefer. We walked to most of the visitable places. In the restaurant they have an amazing price for excellent house wines. They do a great job of the Argentinian beef too. Also they have gluten free food. I have not been sick yet. And although English does not come easily to Argentinas they are delighted to help you. And especially delighted if you try to...
