All is good! We got a suite which was perfect for us there is some privacy for the single bed in the entrance once the two of us got into the bedroom. The staff is great, helpful, and knowledgeable. We got a promotion, three days the price of two, a great deal! There is a small fitness center with jacuzy, and massage, supposedly though the latter two were closed, I guess it's low season or maybe one has to ask for it at the concierge. The gym is alright for a quick workout, static bike, elliptical, treadmill, and a machine combining low row, legs, and shoulder, etc all in one, not the best but it does the job. The nice thing was that they give you a voucher for a beach entry to a "balneario" un Punta Mogotes beach. I think there is even a shuttle but we drove to it. You get a tent, chairs, etc. We only paid for parking there something like $150 pesos, IIRC. It was all clean and staff was very helpful. Breakfast is free, and lots of stuff. It's the typical breakfast in most hotels in Argentina, at least Buenos Aires, with several types of croissants and other European pastries. Some fruits, cream cheese, toasts, butter, yogurts, only two types of plain cereal, coffee, milk, teas, pancakes, omelette, etc. We never ate at the restaurant downstairs, but they give you a welcome drink of your choice at the bar. At night there is a piano player. Only two things to complain about were that there is central A/C and heat, and it so happened that because it was on the cool side when we arrived, they had turned the A/C off, and temperatures went into the upper 60s for a couple of days, so the room got stuffy and they would not turn it back on. The other annoying thing was the elevators. There are only two and small max 5 people, and the weekend got busy so sometimes you had to wait 10 mins to get to a ride, in particular after breakfast, and we were on the 7th floor, I guess I could have taken the stairs but there were many retirees this not an option for them. Same in busy times... Either way it was nice as everyone was very nice so it gave us a chance to establish a conversation with other guests, and that is how we found out about the beach voucher. Btw they have valet parking only, thus you hand the keys to the guy and vice versa. Overall a very nice deal and experience. Btw this should apply to any hotel in the country but being a foreigner, with a foreign passport and paying by foreign credit card, one avoids the 21% VAT which is a big deal in savings. But make sure you bring a major credit card from a US or...
Read moreThey have pictures of a pool and beach on their website and pool listed under their facilities but the pool is a 20min drive away! The beach is a 10min walk. I contacted their live chat to ask about the pool before booking and I guess they just forgot to mention that little detail! I booked specifically for the pool so within 1hr of check-in I asked to be released from my 5 day reservation but they refused. There is fine print that says it's part of a beach club but still doesn't say how far away it is. We went to the beach club one day and it cost 400ars to get there. It was deserted, no towels, no mats on the hard sun beds, no music, expensive drinks and a dozen kids in the pool. The hottub and gym area in the hotel look nothing like the photos. They're in a small white concrete room. The rooms are very small and the view is rusty pipes and concrete walls. The bed was uncomfortable, my back hurt every night. The soundproofing is bad I can hear the neighbors clearly. They put us beside some kind of staff room with people making noise all day and night. The bathroom was not clean and there was no plug for the tub. The reception told me to shower instead when I asked for a plug and then hung up the phone. I had to clean the tub and make a plug before I could bathe. The breakfast was OK but the coffee was bad. The restaurant prices are ridiculous! I have nothing good to say and will never return to this hotel and I suggest you spend your money elsewhere. There is nothing about this hotel that warrants the price...
