Without a doubt, this was my favorite of all the hotels I stayed at during my several weeks in Argentina. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager, who took the time to help us with all our questions and to help bring our luggage to our room. The staff was extremely friendly, and patiently helped us plan a trip to the nearby national parks. This is a family run hotel, and it shows, as the atmosphere is so warm and inviting that it really felt like home to me.||||The included breakfast was delicious and of a very good quality, and many different things to eat were offered - much more than the typical Argentinian continental breakfast. I appreciated that breakfast was available until 10:00 a.m. There is a lovely covered deck, where one can eat breakfast and look out at the green forest (I was there in summertime) on the nearby mountain, and gorgeous flowering trees.||The hotel is in a quiet and peaceful environment, and is very near to a large park and nature reserve. There are lounge chairs and a covered picnic area next to an awesome swimming pool that is large enough for doing laps. The natural setting is enhanced by a river that runs through the property.||||Note, this is not a luxury hotel, but it is extremely clean, well maintained, has comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. It has a rustic charm and beauty to it, for example, the wooden ceilings and beams. All respect for the general managers Ana and Fecundo who do a great job here; a true example of excellent...
Read moreWe have been travelling through the Northwest of AR for 3 weeks and really needed a break from the dusty roads and the dogs barking in the towns at night. We decided to stay in San Lorenzo at Selva Montana and it could not have been more wonderful. It is tucked into a gorgeous, lush setting next to a rushing water course coming down from the hills. We ate breakfast and lunch on a balcony overlooking this peaceful landscape.||||Apart from the physical charm of the property and the building itself, the staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and professional. They helped us with some travel plans and where to have dinner (several choices are a short walk from the hotel).||||San Lorenzo is a cross between a leafy, posh neighbourhood and a Natural Park. We loved it and will go back next time we are...
Read moreWe really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the staff was lovely and even gave us recommendations on the scenic route to take to Humahuaca (definitely worth it). The hotel is located in a lovely area of San Lorenzo, with beautiful views and the lovely sounds of the local birds from the balcony where you get to enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast. Our room was HUGE, we got one of the cheaper rooms so no views but lovely breeze coming in. It was nice to have a pool to cool down in as it was 32 degrees Celsius when we arrived, there's also a ping pong table and you can access the river from the hotel as well. The beds and pillows were amazing (very important to us) as was the shower and towels. Highly recommended for a stay, next time we will stay 2 nights and enjoy the walks around...
