After a medical emergency my husband was air-lifted off a cruise ship to the local hospital. I was taken to the Hotel Libertador - alone and with no spanish. They were very helpful and caring. I had a great room with double bed and a single, a desk, a table and chairs, a bathroom with a bath/shower and plenty of room. The staff in the restaurant were great and the meals although different from Australia were very good and freshly cooked. Breakfast was fine - no cooked breakfast but plenty to eat with fresh fruit, cereal, toast etc. etc. The hotel was very clean, wifi was easy and free, and there was a business centre with computers and ability to print out items. Whatever I was searching for in town I was always helped by the desk staff who gave me a map to show me where to go and called a taxi for me if needed - even going to the driver to make sure he understood where I wanted to go. The hotel is very central and close to the shops. Although I was not there to go sight- seeing I did see the staff helping others with their enquires and filling their thermos flasks etc. It is a great hotel with great staff and I will be forever grateful to them for the wonderful way in which they helped me at a...
