Hostel Punto Patagónico Neuquén — Hotel in Neuquén

I loved this hostel. I stayed there at a time when I was having a tough time adjusting to life in Argentina and the vibe in the hostel really helped. The staff were always very helpful with tours, information and even helping you to get other accommodation if they couldn't meet my needs. As the end of my 10 day stay we had a lunch with several of the other guests and the staff to say thank you. The vibe is very relaxed and friendly and there is a culture of chit-chat between guests. Most of the other guests were Argentinians and I think it might be a harder if you don't speak Spanish. The value was excellent for the facilities and services. The location was also great as it was extremely close to a good grocery store, the university, the observatory and the nice part of downtown. Reserve in advance. Their currency on the booking website is USD, and they choose whatever exchange rate they want, and will change it (unfavorably) on a whim. I tried paying with debit card, and they would only do that at the blue dollar sell rate. When I tried paying with USD, they then changed the exchange rate for when they gave me change to screw me out of money. I don't recommend.
