The hotel is perfect and I think it's worth the cost. We booked the 2-level family suite, it was very spacious and had everything needed. They also brought us a bottle lf sparkling wine and fruit platter for free. I was scared of cold (it's -14 at night), but aircon heated the room and kept it warm the whole time.
The best part of the hotel for a winter season trip is the indoor swimming pool. The water is hot, you just don't want to get out of it:)
Breakfast and dinner were very nice. Nothing fancy, but there was a decent variety, and the staff was making sure everything is refilled.
We also used some extra services, sauna and billard. They didn't charge us for billard, which was a pleasant courtesy:) sauna was lovely, it's small, there's just a dry finish sauna and a cool bath, but it's nice to have a private experience. They also allow pouring water on the hot stones (something rarely allowed in European saunas, so a pleasant surprise for me).
I also fell in love with the hotel pup, such a cuddly playful baby ❤️
The view from the restaurant and hotel rooms are just something else! There were also horses grazing on the opposite slope, as an equestrian i was delighted to see them.
There were some flaws, they didn't bother me at all, but to make my review less biased i'll mention them too. Room design is somewhat outdated, with red carpets and golden curtains, there was some dark spots from humidity in the bathroom, there is drain of the floor but it's not the lowest point, so when water leaks from the shower, it's challenging to keep the floor dry. I also didn't find how to close the drain in the bathtub (but I didn't plan to take a bath anyway). Only one billard key had a sponge tip, others were plastic, which made it harder to play. I'm trying to be a Karen now:) none of these small issues mattered, and I'm sure if I brought them up, staff would do their best to solve it, they were just amazing, very friendly, attentive and helpful.
Thank you hotel team for the wonderful time we...
Read moreThis hotel is surrounded by wonderful nature. But that is the only advantage of the hotel.||The hotel room was dirty, we could see half of the table was dusted and the other half was left dusty. ||We have called the previous day to make the reservation and we were told that the check-in was at 2pm. As we were travelling with our kid we asked to place a bed for the kid in the room. When we arrived, there was no bed in the room. And as that was the time for our baby to sleep it was a real problem.||So when we went to the reception to find out why there was no bed, one of their staff was almost shouting on us telling that if we arrived at 3pm, the bed would be there.||The other room we booked, should be with a twin bed. But it was a double bed. And when we told about that, this person told us that the bed in the room is separable. So, one must pay for this not very cheap hotel and then go and separate the beds||||As we have booked the room with breakfast and supper, we were told that in case we need lunch, we can get it in the cafe of the hotel. But when we went there, we were told that we can only have sandwiches as the restaurant was booked for some event. The sandwiches appeared to be just pieces of Armenian bread "matnaqash" with some cheese and ham. :(||The outdoor pool had no changing rooms so after swimming you should walk till your room with water oozing over you.||Besides, there were no measures of safety related to Covid-19 - no masks, no sanitizers, nothing...||And many many other...
Read moreI’m on business trip and got a call from my frustrated wife who were in the this hotel. She woke up at 4am due to noise in the lobby where many guys where making noise without considering that people are sleeping and 2 years old children are sleeping in the hotel. And the only person who went out of room to ask to stop disturbing was my wife. I can’t imagine a normal hotel where you cannot have a sleep as some group of people just decided to have a fun. Unfortunately i’m on business trip to US and couldn’t be there to stop that, but to be honest it shouldn’t be my or other guests job to stop such a behavior. Hotel management should care about their guest...
