Rocky Gardens Motor Inn — Hotel in Allenstown

Decided to drive to Townsville to visit family and usually I would have driven from Brisbane straight through, but once I hit Rocky I wanted to rest. Rocky Gardens was the first place I saw entering town so I stopped there. Walked in, asked if there were any available rooms, and after 5 minutes I was headed for my room. The staff were great, especially when it came time for a feed. I was told that “room service would be sent to my room, just call the restaurant and place an order”. ||Within 15 minutes the food arrived and was great. The room itself was great, no problem at all. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here and if you plan to eat, give the Homemade Rissoles a go, and the Apple Pie/tart with cream and ice cream.||I’ve only been up north once and that was with the Army, but I’ve now got family up there, so I dare say I’ll be heading up more often and Rocky Gardens will be a mandatory...

Stumbled on this place by accident. Just picked a place from my gps list of motels and called. It was close to 8pm. They were happy to have us pop in and gave us a huge room with a massive king bed and 3 singles for my kids.||We arrived just after 8pm and had a meal at the inside restaurant.||I was towing a little box trailer and the staff were happy for me to park inside the motel grounds in all I could say is not a parking spot. After a long night of driving this was a very welcome gesture. ||||The food was fantastic, actually very surprised. We have stayed twice, and both times have been more than pleased. The rooms are nice and modern, comfortable beds and chairs and most importantly are super dooper clean. Well stocked kitchenettes, so you can self - cater if you wish. Real milk supplied for your cuppas, undercover parking with easy access to ground floor rooms. First stay we ordered our dinner via room service was plentiful and yummy.
