Shellharbour Holiday Village — Hotel in Barrack Point

Absolutely disgusted.Your better somewhere else. My sister booked out a powered site for Xmas Day 2015 and was told by Shirley that the key & Map was going to be left under the mat. But when her and her family arrived she ended up finding a key & map for a cabin. Her not knowing what to do went straight into the cabin since it was early morning Xmas Day and no one was at the office. Later that evening Me and my family decided to go back and help her take some stuff as we had Xmas with family in Shellharbour. Not even minutes later we got approached by four people (2 men 2 women) one being Shirley asking my sister why she was in the cabin when she clearly knew she had a powered site. My sister explained her situation and said she spoke to Shirley before she left and was told that her map and key will be under the mat. Next thing you know the other lady who is supposely the big boss turns to my husband and says how dear all of youse stay in one cabin, you and your daughter (in a foul voice). Me overhearing her says don't talk to my husband like that if you've got something to say to him say it to me I'm a lady like you by then my husbands told her to f;?! off and then she retaliates and throws her ice block stick in the drain like its fun to litter. By now I'm furious disgusted by her behaviour and tell her not to litter,then the male figure talking to my sister says she's allowed to she's the boss she owns this place. My sister was horrified by the way we were treated and checked out We all ended up Kiama Easts Big4 where my family was staying. My sister and family loved there 2days stay at Kiama Easts so did I and highly recommend this place might be bit more in your pocket but you'll be extremely satisfied...

Do not stay here if you don't want to be ripped off. We booked for 6 nights in our caravan and when advised of our site found the area congested with campers and other vans parked in such a way to not allow us to unhitch or move forward from the designated site. We took this up with staff and were offered a site where a permanent caravan had been demolished. The site was not clean of rubble and so we declined. We were then offered an apology for the issues and advised there were no other sites. We were offered a refund and accepted however advised it would be done the following morning via Eftpos.. We then booked another park and paid for that. The following morning the office girl advised that Managent was now refusing to pay the refund. We are now going through the NSW Office of Fair Trading. This is an old park, full of primarily old caravan permanent sites with a small patch of grass which they advertise as caravan and camping sites. It is not suitable for travelling caravaners...

We would not stay here again. We were so disappointed that we left early. This is not a kid friendly place. An older park that is in need of some maintenance/upgrades. We stayed in a 2 bedroom family cabin. There weren't any sheets supplied for the bunk beds, just a blanket and fitted sheet (which had stains). The parking area next to the cabin had random items in it like a wheel barrow. There were no photos of the bathroom and we got there to find out that it wasn't part of the main cabin, you had to walk outside to get to it, and every time we walked out there, you could smell cigarette smoke from the resident behind. There was also mold on the roof. It was also a very noisy cabin, no matter how softly you walked, it could be heard from outside and which caused the resident behind us to yell at us multiple times (this was not appreciated). This was not ideal with two young children, who just want to be kids and have fun. This cabin was not worth...
