Not sure why some of the reviews aren’t great because this place is spectacular. Honestly a hidden gem in the most peaceful and beautiful location. We’ve stayed here twice - in summer and in winter. Both times we’ve had to drive up at night, which if you can should be avoided as there is a LOT of kangaroos on the way (as expected for some cottages up on a hill surrounded by nature!) The area is stunning - a view of the ocean, trees around, wildlife, etc. The deck area is gorgeous, with a little barbecue, and was the perfect area to wake up and have breakfast on. In winter it was a little colder so we didn’t spend a lot of time outside, but you can see the stars and there’s a lovely feeling of calm. The fireplace is very cosy - they provide fire starters, some logs, and a little kindling (although if you just step outside there’s plenty on the ground!), although in winter it is the only form of heating which is expected for the location. There is fans for summer and being on stilts/hill it is still quite cool. I absolutely loved the bath with the stunning views. Definitely adds to the relaxation and reset! Only thing is that if you are very attached to your phone, if you aren’t with Telstra you may not have service/wifi. I think it adds to the focus on being in nature and being in the moment but I do understand wanting a little digital connection if this is a dealbreaker for you. The owner also helped to accommodate us when there was an issue with a previous guest where we had booked, which we really appreciate. Otherwise I truly think this is a very special place, and would love to stay here again.

We stayed in the Redgum Cottage for our honeymoon in Dec 2020. We absolutely loved it there! It was private, quiet, and the views of the ocean over the canopies of a multitude of gumtrees was one of the best I've ever experienced. Sure, the internal condition of the cottage was a little rustic, but we were very comfortable. We experienced good communication with our host, and enjoyed several wildlife sightings. One of our favourite honeymoon stays, (out of 9 South Coast destinations all up).

Beautiful house. Spotless clean. It has everything you might need. There is plenty of wood for the fireplace that will keep the house warm during cold weather. There are shops a short drive from the house. And lots of cute kangaroos on the road!

We've just booked our next visit to Bundle Hill Cottages and we can't wait! This year's visit is late because we've been travelling elsewhere, but we knew we could not get through a year without a stay.||||We have been visiting this little piece of paradise in Bawley Point for about seven years and try to go at least once a year (usually in winter) but often twice. We love the views, the serenity, the comfortable beds, and the visiting birds and kangaroos. ||||We always hope for rain so we can sit by the fire with a good book, a magazine (or for me some sewing) and a nice cuppa or glass of wine! But when the weather is fine, it is lovely to get out in the fresh air and go for a walk around the village, or along the beach. ||||The fact that there is little phone range is a boon for us, because we lead very busy lives back in the 'big smoke' but might worry some people. But if we need service, it's a short hop down the road to where there is more range – and a good excuse for a visit to the cafe, or the supermarket, newsagent and bottle shop for more supplies!||||Unlike many such establishments, your hosts are usually out of sight, unless they're topping up the firewood box, but we always welcome the chance to have a chat if they are around – a...

We had booked this place at least ten months in advance, to attend a wedding. We were really looking forward to our break away.|On arrival everything was grotty and dirty.|Every surface was sticky and greasy. Toilet was dirty, lounge and armchair were marked and smelled musty. The back of the blue armchair was filthy with dirt and sweat marks from other guests.|The elements on the stove were completely rusty, the oven, although appearing clean, smelt of grease.|The deck was covered in a thick carpet of bark and leaves, which we had to sweep away. I understand the place is surrounded by gum trees, but we live in the country, surrounded by trees, and this deck hadn’t been cleaned for a long time.|I have tried contacting the owner, I sent him a very polite message, but have had no response. |There was no cover on the ironing board, no fire extinguisher and no fire blanket near the stove, which I thought was mandatory in short term rentals??|Just don’t waste your time or money staying here!! So disappointed.|I thought all accommodation had Covid cleaning standards, this place hadn’t even been cleaned to a basic standard.|The only thing amazing about this place...
