Very divided on this spot for a review. the National Park and it’s trials are amazing, with forest diversity and endless veiws. If camping in a tent it seems nice and spaced out enough all though right beside the road, but pretty quite at night. If in a caravan, site 56 & 57 are a joke. They are supper small and be prepared to have everyone from in side the camp kitchen staring at your legs 3 feet away. They really should be just one site, and not trying to squeeze two into it. maybe passable if in a rooftop tent or small camper van. if you are towing be prepared to test your backing up skills. the other 6 powered sites are ok. facilities where clean but dated and moldy. Read moreReally cool camping location with clean facilities. Only a few pitches so felt quite quiet. The lodge next to the campsite has an amazing terrace with a stunning view and serves decent food! Go to the bushwalkers bar next to the camp site for a post hike beer.
The only downside is that all the sites are completely under tree cover and the ground is quite cold and hard, so if sleeping on a ground tent it can be a little cool and damp feeling. All good if you have the right kit. Some of the pitches (swag sites) are near the road which wasn’t too much of an issue as no traffic during the night!
