Decided to not cook camp food and came here to dine after day 1 of our great walk as a group of 4. We were warned that the pizza would take about 20 to 30 mins to prepare as it was a busy evening being a long weekend. Sure, my partner and I did not mind the wait for someone else to cook our meals after a 21 km walk, also the pizza's all looked great coming out from the kitchen. But after 30 mins of waiting and our 2 friends finishing up their pasta meals (who ordered the same time as us). My partner went to see how our order was going....guess what?! Our order was lost! Wouldn't an atentative staff walking around the cafe realise that 2 people don't have their meals while their mates are half way through theirs? One of the staff said they would speed up the process and put our order in first (well wouldn't that be a good idea?!). We still had to wait another 10 mins or so and then our food came out in takeaway boxes (lol) even though we were clearly dining in. The poor waitress who was in training was obviously struggling and one of the more experienced staff could care less. My pizza came out unappealing and at first I thought the order was wrong. I ordered the "home grown" pizza which I saw another customer ordered which looked very appealing with overflowing fresh rocket as a garnish. But mine had no rocket and looked like frozen pizza. The chef ended up tossing a couple of pieces of rocket on top of my pizza and called it a night. What a ridiculous experience. Almost a 50 min wait for below average pizza. Should've ate my camp food. Would've tasted better and gone to bed earlier. I understand every restaurant has it's good days and bad days and that we all make mistakes. But it is always wise to follow up with a good gesture rather than finishing with a terrible service which is why I rate my experience that...

We went to Binna Burra tea house for our mother's day high tea today. The food was very nice. The presentation of the place was very nice. The service was extremely poor. We waited until after 12 to be seated after being snapped at by staff to move out of the way as everyone was lined up waiting to be seated. When we were finally seated the staff were still setting up the food for a good 15 to 20 minutes and we were told to wait. No apologies for the wait. We were told we would be told when the food was ready. We weren't. We just saw other people lining up and joined the line. At 1pm we were told by our waitress that we could keep eating if we wanted to but if we wanted to leave we could ask for the bill. This made everyone at the table feel extremely unwelcome and uncomfortable. My mother in law and her partner are shareholders and this kind of service when at a special event is not acceptable. The staff looked red faced and flustered and had problems with their ipad to take drink orders. As far as service goes it was rude, unwelcoming and blunt. We asked for an extra plate which never came. Just not good enough for a special event. The chefs smiled at us while bringing food in, the wait staff didn't want us to be there, or that was the vibe the whole time. Get...

A very disappointing experience to deal with manangement. I am secrearty of a car club and rang many weeks ago to book a lunch for our members. I was assured that the venue would be opened by the staff member , and she checked with a supervisor. Last week when I rang to confirm numbers, this was when the trouble started. Binna Burra did offer our members a nice sounding lunch at a good price, but 3 days before the event the CEO decided that this lunch had to be pre paid. This caused me alot of work emailing , and messaging our members, checking the bank account etc. I asked about seating as the weather was supposed to be stormy. Binna Burra wanted our group to be split up downstairs and upstairs, due to Covid! Our club has been to venues in the Scenic Rim in July and not treated like this. We wanted to support the area after their closure due to the fires and covid. Dealing with the CEO especially was not a pleasant experience. He certainly did not go to the Management School of Public Relations. We will not try to book again. Sad as this is a...

A beautiful location that’s been through a tough run. Binna Burra Tea House has one of the most stunning outlooks in the region — but sadly, the experience hasn’t quite matched the setting lately due to cyclone Alfred and other factors . The opening hours are now quite limited (9am to 3pm), and there’s clearly been major staff cutbacks. Service is polite and genuine but clearly stretched, tired. The food and drink options are noticeably reduced, but the food is good, never had bad food ever here. Still, It’s not the destination café it once aimed to be — which is a shame, given the incredible potential and history behind it. Still worth a stop if you’re up here for the view or a hike — just best to manage expectations. Hopefully it finds its rhythm again soon. I know people are working hard.

The view from these tea rooms is spectacular and you can choose to eat inside or outside. There is no competition and it shows. The kitchen opens at 11:30 and you cannot book for lunch. The menu is small but given how far away the cafe is it’s not surprising. I was disappointed that there is not a snack option such as hot chips. It’s cake or nothing when the kitchen is closed. The service was not unfriendly but not very inviting either. It felt a little as though I had interrupted other work behind the counter. I was a little concerned that my hot coffee was delivered by a young girl. Not a very safe option for her I would have thought. Definitely go for a coffee if only for the view and set your expectations on the basis that you have no choice and it will be an ok experience

Casual dining with four areas to eat. The verandah has beautiful views down the mountain. We had a clear day and you could see the high rises on the coast line. The food for lunch is short cook style of burgers, toasted sandwiches etc with plenty of options. Nice choice of cakes for the sweet tooth. Only thing I didn't like was the brand of Tea used for a cup of tea. Weak and bitter but that's subjective. Actually didn't drink it. Bathrooms are inside and easily accessible for the elderly with wheelie walkers.
