Not the best place I've stayed in the roof leaked when it rained, the front screen taped with blue tape to hold it together, the bedroom where my husband and I slept is where the roof leaked and the glass sliding doors lock was broken and the door has a bar down in the opposite side door so it can't slide, there is water stains down the wall from when it has rained, the bathroom tap doesn't work properly and makes an awful noise, the bathroom shower wall is eroding, for the price your paying well it's too much the only good I can say is it is close to the beach.

Our overnight stay was delightful. The setting was peaceful and the beach was literally at our doorstep. The interior design may be considered vintage, but our room was equipped with all necessary amenities and was well presented. From our second-floor vantage point, we enjoyed access to a communal balcony overlooking the ocean. The second bedroom, although modest in size, featured two beds, making it an ideal space for kids.

The location is very good. The beach is 15m away. You can hear the ocean from your room if you are facing it. The rooms themselves are basic and a bit run down. The pool is above ground and also pretty basic. For people that want to walk the beach or sit by a beautiful view this is an acceptable motel for the price. There is no food or bar in the vicinity so BYO or be prepared to drive for 10mins.

I am a very happy customer, normally you don't see happy costomer leave review. But I really want to share my expereince, especially I saw the current rating is so low. I think this is an underestimated jem on Bowen. Location of course, perfect, everyone agree. I want to say the room. It is spacious, convinient for family. I almost park diretly to the room, it is on the ground floor, with no effort to carry stuff to the room (you know how many things you will have when you have two kids). I like to breath fresh air, really don't like the fully enclosed hotel room with fix window that you can not open. Here at Beachside units, you can open window, to let the morning sunshine come in. The aircon is really cold, very good. The shower has very capabile hot water and cold water, very good pressure. Perhaps the best showering experience I had along the years travelling in QLD. The internet is very fast. Several device connected to the same wifi, still fast. I had a video zoom meeting, at beginning was bit concerned, because according to review, this was an issue. But my Zoom call expeirence this morning was very good. I had both phone and computer conneted. Had video on and shared screen. Overall very good. Let along the good price. The staff member is kind, never bother us. I...

I loved the privacy of having the garden view unit. Unit was self contained, complete with gas stove and all utensils and cooking crockery, with large living and dining , large separated room with curtain and comfy double bed and large bathroom that had amazing water pressure in shower. Sofa that turns into a bed perfect for younger kids. We all know there is nothing worse than having a tight space in a hotel/units irregardless of how many stay so that was a major plus. So close to the beach it was beautiful to be able to have a walk Oceanside after dinner. I also FaceTimed my finance and he said that we have to return together he was so impressed. Lastly I’d like to share a conversation I had with my brother the morning we left. I was tidying up our belongings and doing a final cleanup, I said to him that I would do a final sweep and then we would go, mind you I had swept about 5 times over the 12 hours before this. He goes “geez how many times do you need to sweep?” I said “mate when you leave a hotel you always leave it in a better condition then when you found it” He then said “how do you leave it better when it was already perfect?” I think that...

Only providing one star as there is no option for none. I feel like I've stayed In a hotel that Gordon Ramsay has filmed, disgusting. ||Outdated, dirty, broken and my only regret is not staying elsewhere. ||The floors are chipped, sticky and dirty, the furniture was not stable and looked like they haven't been cleaned. The airconditioning wasn't working and upon inspection the filters have never been cleaned (see photo, YUCK). The flick mix on the sink was ready to fall off, gas burner didn't work, towel racks broken bad hand towels rack falling out of wall, rangehood light broken and half working.||I can't believe this place is able to operate!||||To top it off the instructions on food waste encourages "throwing your scraps into the ocean". Anyone who is familiar with Far North Queensland is aware of crocodiles and this being far from "Eco friendly". ||||After reading further reviews on TripAdvisor, it's apparent this has been a problem since atleast 2018 and the owners don't care for the upkeep or presentation.||||Safe to say, family is not impressed after what was supposed to be a...
