Similar review to Courtney Dudley but positive points: Big place with many rooms for a family or two. TVs, air conds and comfortable beds in all rooms. Dishwasher and dryer which many accommodation do not provide is a big +. Nice alfresco area with BBQ facilities. Access to all Sebel facilities like pools, games room, gym which is good. Price was fair for the size of the accommodation and inclusions.
Negative points: Cleaning of dust, flooring and removal of bugs and spider webs should be done prior to any new check in. Checkout is 12pm and checking 4pm so that's a solid few hours to clean thoroughly the inside (2 staff needed minimum). Cleaning personnel was friendly and helpful though. Consoles or cables need to be checked (no CDs of Xbox games) and no Foxtel, just digital TV. Handyman need to learn to knock before coming in the garden (or roof as I saw another review). It seems they just invite themselves in without notice which is rude and should be done after checkout. Since it's right next to the bush, mosquitoes swarm the place in the early evening so prepare yourself to battle them if they get in. Keep closed doors and switch off lights if leaving the place during the evening. Gavin (owner or caretaker) doesn't seem to care too much about issues reported to him (doesn't reply) so reckon you trust yourself if any issues during your stay as Sebel doesn't get involved with...
Read moreI booked this accommodation directly through Gavin.||Sadly, the weekend was an embarrassment for me as I booked Presidential Bungalow for a group of friends - and after repeated calls to Gavin for assurance that the bungalow was in good condition - I regret booking it.||On the upside: the beds were clean and mostly comfortable.|the location was excellent for beach access and we had access to Sebel's pools.||However, the unit is so outdated and had so much wear and tear inside, including missing door handle in the shower, (a frayed piece of rope acted as a handle, which disintegrated on first use) the fly screen in upstairs bedroom almost non existent and flying in the breeze, the oven seal completely split and very old oven tray. A toilet roll holder also needed to be stabilised. Lots of the crockery was chipped.||Ceiling lights in upstairs bedroom very dusty and some with cobwebs. The window runners needed a long overdue clean. Dead insects on kitchen blinds not cleaned.||There was an unpleasant smell when we opened the door to the bungalow, so all doors and windows were opened. ||On opening the washing machine we were amused to find a lady had left her thong in...
Read moreThis unit is disgusting - there is so much wrong with this place, the owner should be ashamed but he seems to not care as the many other reviews say the same yet he has done nothing! The place was filthy from floor to ceiling and smelt like putrid water. Walls dirty and chips everywhere, cobwebs everywhere, filthy floors, items under beds, dryer still had a g string in it and was totally full of lint, the oven was falling apart, chipped dishes, no mattress protectors, spare pillows were falling apart, very old without protectors, some of the beach towels were torn and like rags, flywire upstairs was shredded and falling apart, shower door handle missing so they had added a piece of dirty string so you could open the door, the outside was full of sand and dirt with weeds growing, dishwashing liquid and hand sanitiser was so diluted with water we had to purchase our own, no shampoo etc. Sebal resort is really lovely and well kept and this unit is not owned by them just DO NOT...
