Very cosy and peaceful Retreat - we stayed two nights at the Lodge and it was great ! A warm cosy fireplace was welcoming on a cold night - comfy beds and modern facilities all helped to make our stay first class. Due to the large numbers of wildlife, we did not travel out at night but planned our evening meals in the well equipped kitchen (Oven was an issue that needed more simple and better instructions to use). Mornings we were welcomed by a large family of wallabies from the front deck - very friendly and perhaps fed by previous guests. I would recommend this accommodation for a great unwind and relaxing break.

What an absolutely beautiful property! Gorgeous grounds filled with cute wallabies enjoying the grass and roaming freely. There’s even a local white wallaby which we saw each day! The view towards the bay is gorgeous! The house is divine with 3 bedrooms and a cute mezzanine area with a pull down ladder. Well appointed house that had everything we needed - pod coffee machine and a coffee peculator. We loved the super cuddly pillows, doonas and linen - so crisp and nice!

One of the best places I have stayed for the price. The cottage was amazing for 2. We had the best 2 nights here, quiet, peaceful with everything you could want to cook and stay for as long as you like. The wildlife comes right to the door and there is so much to see and do just down the road. The hosts were amazing and helped to organise a tour, lunch at a winery and are there for any questions. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

A very relaxing and indulgent spa cabin that is well maintained, well prepared and extremely well presented. The kitchen utensils provided were good, making it easy to make our own meals - the only thing I would recommend is that you make sure to bring your own large oven tray. The bed was extremely comfortable and the surrounding area is beautiful - it is a delight to watch the beautiful wallabies - this area seems to be a wallaby paradise (including white wallabies). The host was very helpful and provided great directions - making it really easy to find the place. Unfortunately, the resident wallabies expected to be fed by us, due to prior guests feeding them. I understand this is not the host/owner's fault but as an avid lover of Australian native wildlife, I believe this should not be encouraged and perhaps some information should be provided to discourage guests from doing so. Whilst the mirrored windows near the indoor spa provided privacy, we found that the native birds were trying to attack themselves in the windows (we stayed close to Spring so the birds were trying to mate and defend their girl from another prospective mate). Due to this, we were awoken very early by birds pecking at themselves and also worried for the birds health - again not the host/owner's fault but perhaps an outside shade-cloth blind that can be pulled down if needed/wanted would be beneficial to both guests and the...

We stayed at Adventure Bay Retreat and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, you have a washing machine for convenience, and I think that my favourite thing was the wallabies, I counted about 16 one day, most of them had a baby in the pouch. We also saw an echidna not far from the back of the cabin, nosing around the bush. The process was simple and easy to come and go as we pleased. My husband caught some squid from the jetty up the road, they were delicious. The company that does the cruise around the island is well worth the money, it was fantastic and the staff on the boat very experienced boatmen. If you want peace and nature then this is your place, we loved it and the little local shop is very handy, we bought the lamb chops, and they were very tender and delicious. The oyster shack is well worth...
