Bundalong Villas — Hotel in Bundalong

Great location for a weekend away and the advertised photos make this place look like a dream. What you get… dirty cabins and rude service from the manager. Cobwebs all throughout the outdoor area which was unusable in the end. Holes in the walls of cabins where rails have been but not repaired. Stained blankets on the beds. Stained floors, broken blinds, broken chairs. The list goes on. Attempted to receive at least 50% refund with rude responses back from the manager. Would have left but it was the Easter weekend and no other places available. They did try to rectify some issues however stated that due to not calling them, they were unable to do so. I provided the call log from my phone and was advised they didn’t receive it on their phone so mustn’t have happened. I had seen some reviews prior to going so when I booked, I asked if these things had been rectified, like the outdoor area, and I was assured it had. This was a lie. We had a great Easter long weekend staying at these Villas. Very clean, new and lovely comfortable beds! Pool was great and we were able to sit up stairs on the spacious balcony and take in the views. Very close to river, boat ramp, cafe and general store. Walks along Bundalong waterfront with our dog each morning were lovely. Park is not finished yet, however this did not bother us at all. It will be so beautiful when landscaping is complete. We dinned at the Tavern 3 out of 4 nights and the menu was more than ample. Best to book in as tables are taken up quickly. Great lawn area with seating out the front for children to run around and a small playground area. I was unwell two nights and the staff offered to bring our meals to the Villa. Incredibly good old fashioned great service. Friendly staff and locals made the experience even better. The owners are just lovely, chatty and very helpful. Stayed here for a week just recently and whilst linen and kitchen were well cleaned and villa was comfortable enough what let the place down was the general property maintenance. Fan switches with no knobs, lights with non working globes, holes in plasterboard. Non working dishwasher and washing machine wasn’t there at all different to what was advertised. Air conditioner appeared to be struggling lots of noises and clicking so cleaned out myself and the amount of dust was insane. No internet and when called to try and get assistance no return call from my messages. Swim up bar is non operational and premises has building material everywhere. No grass at all for kids to play and table tennis area is nothing like pictures. Pool was nice but had to clean it myself to scoop out little bugs.
