Carmila Sands Motel — Hotel in Carmila

Located 10 1/4 hours north of Brisbane 2 1/2 hours north of Rockhampton, 5 minutes off the highway in music st camilla , the Camilla sands motel offers a welcoming rest for the tired traveller. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and offer all the basics for an overnight stay. The room contained a Full size Fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, tea n coffee satules, cups mugs x2, television, WiFi connection comfortable bed with two bed side tables with power points suitable for a cpap sleep machine, 2 chairs a counter breakfast bar and small wardrobe. The bathroom is of the onsuite style combination shower toilet vanity. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. The other reviews here say it all. The room was very comfortable, cool and had everything we needed for and overnight stay. We stayed on Christmas Eve 2021 and had an excellent dinner prepared by our host. One of the reasons I am writing this is that on the night of our dinner, we we’re telling the owner (Scott) that we were arriving on Christmas Day at Airlie Beach and had been unable to find anywhere to eat lunch. Scott offered to (and did) prepare us a wonderful meal of prawns/ham and salad. We have just finished it and it contributed to one of the nicest Christmas Days we have ever had. I tried to find an email to send him a photo as thanks but this will have to do....

An impeccable motel, upon entry to the sizable and well priced room; a feeling of luxury and comfort is presented. After a long day on the road the Carmilla Sands Motel provides an excellent rest point due to the friendly easy going service welcoming you with a great smile. When on the long Australian roads a nice meal is always appreciated and the Carmilla Sands Motel provides a lovely evening meal to finish the up the day. However I must say an extra 50ml on the shower curtain wouldn't go a stray.
