Riesling Trail and Clare Valley Cottages — Hotel in Clare

The accommodation was clean, roomy, lots of breakfast provisions. The outside are was great that we could all sit around have a bbq. However the communication this time I felt it wasn't as welcoming as last year. Check out was 10am that's fine we were all packed and ready to leave but I thought it was a bit rough that the cleaner rolled up at 9.56am and came into our room dead on 10am , she was lovely but I've never stayed anywhere that this has happened before. Most places would allow you at least 5mins past your time. Also wasn't that comfortable that the garden was being watered once we returned to our rooms from being out and we were all sitting outside , just felt we were being checked on. We basically took over this slice of paradise for 5 nights.|Five couples - all long time friends - visited the Adelaide Hills area for a family wedding; hired a van; and stayed in the Clare Valley. We found these cottages on line and it was just perfect.|We spent the days visiting the wineries and the nights sitting around one of the 2 barbecues drinking the day’s purchases (and eating way to much!).|Every day we walked into Clare for a coffee, and for groceries when necessary. Plus a restaurant or two.|The cottages were all well presented with plenty on offer for breakfast (bacon, eggs, bread/butter/jam, juice, cereal/milk, tea bags/coffee pods) and all the utensils you need. We booked 4 cottages for 2 nights and had a wonderful weekend with family and friends. It was a really hot day when we arrived, host had Airconditioning on in all units and they were lovely and cool for us. Great communication. Offers free late checkout which we really appreciated. Iris and Lily are more spacious and Lily has a walk-in shower. All 4 cottages were neat, tidy and clean. You can park right next to your cottage - convenient for unpacking and repacking. Ample breakfast provisions were provided. Plenty of spare pillows, etc, and games and dvds if you need. Beds are soft but comfy enough. Nice outdoor area with bbq between Iris and Lily with a small garden area in front. Whilst these cottages are not brand new and trendy they are comfortable, clean and quiet.
