This was a beautiful spot for a few days rest. The gardens were lovely and well maintained. We usually stay in little cottages out in the bush so this was a bit different. Set back from a main road and slightly up hill with a wonderful countryside view. Marvellous. The rooms we occupied were lovely. Clean and tidy and everything you needed for a couple. I would have liked a few more dishes and glasses and a pair of scissors. Lol. But a small trifle. The bathroom was beautiful and I loved the walk-in robe. All the amenities were top class. The curtains needed a good clean or replacement. The ones in the dining area kept coming off the rail. But again a mere trifle. We would have appreciated some instructions for the TV and the microwave convection oven. Fortunately I was able to get it working and we cooked a couple of beautiful dinners. The courtyard garden was a nice space but could have been utilised to make it more attractive and appealing. Add more plants and bushes perhaps. The road behind had a view of our patio and outdoor area. So a bit intrusive. The bed was comfortable to my partner but my back didn't agree. That's when we show our age I guess. The pool was unavailable. But I'm sure it was a busy spot in the warmer months. The outdoor lighting near the car park could be improved. Both being elderly we have to be careful on our feet. We didn't know there was a spotlight on the wall. And it didn't come on until we had walked closer to the building using the torches on our phones. And the light outside our rooms did not work or was not turned on. Certainly didn't turn on from inside the rooms. We tried all the switches. Lol. It was a very pretty place and we enjoyed our stay. It was different for us having neighbours so close but a welcome change. The owner was a lovely fellow. Polite and agreeable. We would definitely come back perhaps, when the pool was available and to have a small barbecue out the back. Thank you for making our...

There are not enough positive words in the English language to describe how amazing our stay was at Brice Hill Country Club. We stayed there for 3 nights in September for our second wedding anniversary and the accomodation, service, and kindness from hosts Mick and Chris were all extraordinary.

Mick and Chris went above and beyond for us, providing extra coffee at our doorstep when requested, a bottle of red wine on arrival, and the complimentary bacon and egg breakfast was delicious and lasted us the whole weekend! They offered to pick us up and bring us back to the accomodation after our nights out, and were extremely helpful in organising another night when we decided to extend our stay. The icing on the cake was when my husband badly hurt his rib after being swooped by a magpie on the Riesling trail bike ride, and Mick collected our bikes and picked us up from the Clare hospital. He drove us back to our room and was overall extremely supportive. Words can’t explain how grateful we were.

We highly recommend Brice Hill Country Lodge, especially the Tim Knappstein suite (omg the spa is huge!). We made a fire in the combustion fireplace each night which was very cozy, while each day we had amazing weather for touring the town.

If you’re looking to get away for a few nights, Brice Hill Country Lodge is the perfect place for relaxation, privacy and luxury!

Thanks so much...

Brice Hill Country Lodge – ★★★★★

Our stay at Brice Hill Country Lodge was truly enjoyable! The place was clean, tidy, and very spacious, offering plenty of comfort and a peaceful atmosphere. The hosts were responsive and helpful, always quick to reply to messages.

We arrived to find the TV left on with soft music playing, which was such a thoughtful and welcoming touch. The red wine provided was absolutely delicious, adding an extra bit of warmth to our stay.

The only minor issues were that we couldn’t connect the TV to our mobile or use YouTube, and we noticed some flies in the room, it seems like something that could use a bit of attention. Also, the check-out time was slightly confusing, as the guest book mentioned 11:00 am, while the booking confirmation said 10:00 am.

Overall, it’s a beautiful, relaxing, and well-maintained place, perfect for a quiet getaway. We’d definitely come back!...

What a beautiful, peaceful. private place to stay. 4 villas set on a hill overlooking the valley just on the outskirts of Clare. We had the Sevenhill suite which had lots of provisions for a cooked or continental breakfast, plus a bottle of wine and some chocolates and lollies. The beds are super comfy and have huge ensuite bathrooms with spas. There’s a lovely eating space outside each villa and you have the use of a lovely gazebo for afternoon nibbles and drinks while you watch the local kangaroo eat their supper! We also made use of the swimming pool, which was lovely with the warm weather we had and much needed after biking along the Reisling Way, which is just in front of the villas, so easy access for walks or biking. Clare Valley bikes is within walking distance and gives a discount for Brice Hill Suite guests. Thank you it was a real pleasure to stay here and we’ll be back again.
