We recently stayed at Seaspray Caravan Park in Dongara and unfortunately, our experience was less than welcoming. Upon arrival, the owner approached us to advise that we were not permitted to place a mat outside our caravan as it would damage the grass. We completely understood this and removed the mat immediately. He also explained that our neighbours were granted an exception due to one of them being on crutches, which was fair and understandable.||However, as we walked around the park, we noticed several other vans with mats down on the grass, which seemed inconsistent with the rule we were asked to follow. It felt like there was one rule for some guests and a different one for others. Consistency and fairness would go a long way in improving guest experience.||Additionally, while dogs are allowed at the park—which was a key reason we chose to stay there—we were told our dog was not allowed inside the chalet our friends were staying in. Again, this was completely reasonable and we respected the rule. However, we were then told that dogs are not even allowed on the chalet verandahs, which seemed overly strict, especially since our dog was leashed and not causing any disturbance.||Overall, the tone and approach from management felt more confrontational than courteous, and we left with the impression that we were being unfairly targeted. Based on this experience, we would not recommend Seaspray Caravan Park and will not...
Read moreWe stopped here in our campervan for a night as we were travelling North. I wish I could have foreseen how nice it would be, as we would have adjusted our itinerary and stayed at least one more night. Seaspray ticked all the boxes for us! Lovely, spacious site with an immaculately clean en-suite (bonus point for the awesome pressure in the shower). The staff were all really friendly, and the cooking, cleaning and undercover dining areas were all well appointed, and really well looked after. There's even a hut on the beach where you can relax with a drink and watch the sunset. DO NOT miss the opportunity to have breakfast at the seaspray cafe! Honestly the best breakfast we've had on our travels. For the fishermen, the water off the beach has some cracking looking channels running along it, so there's definitely fish just off the sand, and there's a fish cleaning station by the beach, so you don't have to deal with your catch back at your camping setup. We'll definitely be back (for more than one night next time), and I'm...
Read moreWe recently stayed here on an ensuite caravan site for 2 nights. The ensuite was dated, but clean. The pool looked great, however, the weather did not cooperate that well, so we could not use it. Although we have booked a big rig stand about 3 months in advance, and were assured the site size was ample to fit our purpose, this was a major letdown. We could barely fit the caravan into it, and there was no way we could use our awning. There was nowhere to park our 4x4. Power to the site was tripping continually. When I made Reception aware of this, the maintenance person made it out as if we were at fault. He then told us our caravan was the problem. Checking it out for himself, he realised the fault was on their side, but never apologised for his gruff manner. We were told to use the power outlet of the site at the back. We originally considered doing a repeat visit to this park on our return from up North, but decided against that. Sad, as in general a great,...
