We recently stayed at Seaspray Caravan Park in Dongara and unfortunately, our experience was less than welcoming. Upon arrival, the owner approached us to advise that we were not permitted to place a mat outside our caravan as it would damage the grass. We completely understood this and removed the mat immediately. He also explained that our neighbours were granted an exception due to one of them being on crutches, which was fair and understandable.||However, as we walked around the park, we noticed several other vans with mats down on the grass, which seemed inconsistent with the rule we were asked to follow. It felt like there was one rule for some guests and a different one for others. Consistency and fairness would go a long way in improving guest experience.||Additionally, while dogs are allowed at the park—which was a key reason we chose to stay there—we were told our dog was not allowed inside the chalet our friends were staying in. Again, this was completely reasonable and we respected the rule. However, we were then told that dogs are not even allowed on the chalet verandahs, which seemed overly strict, especially since our dog was leashed and not causing any disturbance.||Overall, the tone and approach from management felt more confrontational than courteous, and we left with the impression that we were being unfairly targeted. Based on this experience, we would not recommend Seaspray Caravan Park and will not...

We stopped here in our campervan for a night as we were travelling North. I wish I could have foreseen how nice it would be, as we would have adjusted our itinerary and stayed at least one more night. Seaspray ticked all the boxes for us! Lovely, spacious site with an immaculately clean en-suite (bonus point for the awesome pressure in the shower). The staff were all really friendly, and the cooking, cleaning and undercover dining areas were all well appointed, and really well looked after. There's even a hut on the beach where you can relax with a drink and watch the sunset. DO NOT miss the opportunity to have breakfast at the seaspray cafe! Honestly the best breakfast we've had on our travels. For the fishermen, the water off the beach has some cracking looking channels running along it, so there's definitely fish just off the sand, and there's a fish cleaning station by the beach, so you don't have to deal with your catch back at your camping setup. We'll definitely be back (for more than one night next time), and I'm...

We recently stayed here on an ensuite caravan site for 2 nights. The ensuite was dated, but clean. The pool looked great, however, the weather did not cooperate that well, so we could not use it. Although we have booked a big rig stand about 3 months in advance, and were assured the site size was ample to fit our purpose, this was a major letdown. We could barely fit the caravan into it, and there was no way we could use our awning. There was nowhere to park our 4x4. Power to the site was tripping continually. When I made Reception aware of this, the maintenance person made it out as if we were at fault. He then told us our caravan was the problem. Checking it out for himself, he realised the fault was on their side, but never apologised for his gruff manner. We were told to use the power outlet of the site at the back. We originally considered doing a repeat visit to this park on our return from up North, but decided against that. Sad, as in general a great,...

Seaspray was a great place to stay a couple of nights, as it's got that amazing location, location, location. The beautiful Seaspray beach a few metres away and behind the park is bushland & the Irwin River with a lovely circuit walking track, which extends up as far as Port Denison 2.5 kms away for those interested We stayed in one of the 1st floor apartments overlooking the beach. Our apartment was OK but starting to show a fair bit of wear & tear, which needs attention - broken soap holder in shower, cupboard doors falling apart & outside rust (due to salt water from seaspray). Swallows nesting on balconies leave a mess, and the outside stairways need a good gurney to smarten them up. Room ammenities were all good & sufficient cooking facilities. They've got a great sundowners firepit aeea on the beach too - magic sunsets Reception staff outstanding & friendly. Overall we loved the area, so forgave Seaspray's shortfalls.

The list of issues with the apartment we were allocated were numerous but the one we first noticed was staining all over the duvet and pillows. This was changed by staff. Filthy behind the bed, window sills, under sink, filthy window frames, dirty sofa, stained curtains, light shades missing and a flickering light in the bathroom which was only discovered after staff had left and we really didn't want someone to come out again to sort this out after a tiring day of travel. Perversely there was a "Hygienically cleaned and sealed for your protection" toilet strip over the toilet seat. At $248/night this was totally overpriced and spoiled our visit to Dongara. We couldn't wait to leave the place at first light.

Stayed for 4 nights in 3 bedroom cabin, loved the fire buckets at night, gorgeous view, staff very friendly! A few issues we found the furniture to be outdated & worn, kitchen utensils & crockery not very clean we had to wash before using, didn’t use fry pans as they were heavily stained & scratched, not enough cutlery for the amount of people we had, with the weather being cold linen should be offered every couple of days, had to ask for hand towels, had issues with the shower cubicle leaking & flooding the bathroom floor, feel the price is a bit much for old outdated cabin
