Irwin River Lookout — Attraction in Dongara

A beautiful, dog-friendly scenic walk (or light trail run) with plenty of hidden treasures that make it well worth exploring. The trail is shaded for much of the way—though don’t forget your water bottle! There are two water fountains along the route, and numerous information boards that make it easy to start from multiple entry points.

This is a great outing for the whole family, with a variety of games and creative touches that add a sense of fun and wonder throughout. Wildlife lovers will be especially thrilled, as the trail offers plenty of chances to spot local fauna in a peaceful natural setting.

You’ll also find multiple benches for a rest or a picnic, a kayak ramp, and even a quiet little art museum (open at selected times). The trail is dotted with displays of local creativity that leave a lasting impression.

Just a short distance away, you’ll discover an amazing café—perfect for refueling. And if you’ve still got energy to burn, a stair climb at the edge of the trail leads to a stunning viewpoint that offers a very rewarding finish.
