THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.
To begin with, the reception employee is not trained at all. We asked her 2 simple questions and had to wait for her "manager" to arrive because she couldn't provide any kind of response.
At night we went to the pool but got the unpleasant surprise that the "manager" herself (indian) was meeting with her friends in that area, drinking alcohol, smoking, playing very loud electronic music, talking loudly and taking up the entire room space. Not a minor fact, in the hotel there are signs indicating that none of this can be done, for respect to the other guests. To make matters worse, she came to talk to us and seemed visibly intoxicated. Aren't guests supposed to be able to enjoy the services they pay for? This shows the bizarre and unprofessional nature of the whole situation.
But the worst of the whole stay was when my boyfriend was unlucky enough to have a heart attack. We ran down to the reception and asked for help to request transportation, since I was assisting him and could not call. The same "manager" receives us, with very bad disposition she tells us that she is not going to be in charge of ordering a taxi. My boyfriend's condition began to worsen, we asked her to call an ambulance immediatly, which she did, but with the worst predisposition.
I could see how she made mocking faces while asking her to please hurry up. It seemed like she was bothered to help!!! Is that the way you treat your guests?
Mocking?? With staff who get drunk on the premises?
We also had a problem with the vending machine, which we reported. Another unpleasant lady told us that it happens to all guests and that they can't do anything about it. Not even an apology. Speechless.
In spite of everything, at 10:05 am they called us to hurry us to check out. That's when they hurry up!
I have never received such bad service in my life. Don't waste your money...
Read moreThe aircon didn’t work. We checked in at 6pm and had dinner reservations at 7:30pm. When I first wen’t into the room I noticed that the ceiling fan was on full bore which I thought was strange for them to have left on. I thought that they must have recently cleaned the carpets or something but I now think it was because they knew that the aircon wasn’t working properly. By the time we had a shower & got ready to go out we realised that the aircon hadn’t been cooling up the room. My wife went to the car and I went to reception. The girl there came up to the room and checked for herself and she couldn’t get the aircon to work properly either. She offered me an alternative room which she said would be a down grade from the room we had booked. I said we are running late for a dinner reservation and could we just have a discount for the no aircon. She said possibly but she needed to check with her manager. the next day on checking out I went to the reception and that manager was there. She offered a 10 or 20% discount and said I had to email her to receive the discount. She then wrote down her email address on a card which turned out to be the wrong email address. I got a post master delivery fail notification. I found her real email domain name and sent her an email which she never bothered to reply. I eventually called her and she tried telling me that she had a technician look at the aircon and that there was nothing wrong with it. Even though I had her receptionist look at and she couldn’t get it to work either. Also the neighbours were smoking next door which you could smell from your room. The window latch was broken so you couldn’t open your window with the broken aircon and the bed rest head was filthy and brown....
Read moreLovely quiet spot down in a newly developed area. The building itself is not right on the water, but does have really impressive views of the water and port. Easy walk to the beach down established paths, and right near some good little play areas. Not walking distance to restaurants and shopping, but uber and menulog both deliver here. The superior two bedroom unit was on the smaller size, but very reasonable for a young family or short stay. Main bedroom had a comfortable queen bed, built in cupboards, bedside tables, a single chair and a lamp. Second bedroom had one bedside table and lamp, built in cupboard, and two single beds on wheels. Small lounge suite and tv (digital free to air and nickelodeon), coffee table, and a six-seater table in the main area. One single bathroom with sink, toilet and flat shower cubicle; laundry facilities in room with washing machine, dryer and laundry tub. Kitchen includes a full-sized fridge with freezer, stove and cookware, though no kid-friendly plates, cups or tupperware. The big, enticing looking emergency button at kid height in the hallway was a bit fun to keep the kids away from, but I could see it being handy! The room was quiet and well insulated, air cons and fans throughout, and a big door to the balcony off the living area to catch the sea breezes which was lovely. There is a spacious pool onsite, no view unfortunately as it is on the back of the building, but at 1.1m is perfect for lap swimming or kids playing. Bonus features included free Wi-fi, elevator, floor access via a key fob for extra security, free onsite parking (not allocated), and the super friendly reception and cleaning staff. Overall, really well priced for the quality and value. Would...
