After all restorations, upgrades, our Queens Park π΄π΄π΄ looks finally beautiful!!π€πOnly pitty that you cannot drive by your car anymore there...ππ’ Concrete bollards are fitted in the middle of the old drive in entries...Never mind council, I think that you've made a big, big mistake not allowing cars into Queen's Park. I used to drove van there with my disable client to use the toilet & to watch the cricket. He loved it!! Now, I have to park our van outside, where the parking is very limited, and walk with my disabled client who cannot speak & he's of a very 'challenging' behaviour towards facilities, etc. Well, I have to admit that council planted lovely bushes, done the gardens, built more toilets, updated playgrounds for kids, fanced some areas off too. Or, if you prefer there are 2 off lead areas. One for smaller dogs, the orher for larger dogs. While there, you are also joined by magpies..be careful though, during nesting season they do swoop. The park has several barbques areas, a playground, seating and toilets. There is the Orchid House that is open at certain times , and a beautiful Band Rotunda. Wander around to the Aboriginal Yarn Circle...so interesting to learn the cultures of our first inhabitants...a place to speak and listen others. It is really a gem in the midst of town.
