Stayed for 3 nights in a 2 bed cabin cost - $667.95. The location is very pretty and if we had brought a Caravan we would not have experienced hardly any of the issues. But the issues are Serious and worth noting if you plan to stay here.||Poor Maintenance|During our stay my partner was helping our 6 year old daughter out of the shower when the shower door came off in my partners hands. ||The door (see Photos) is heavy glass or reinforced plastic door at least 20-25kg and I had to help her to move the door to a safer location. ||Also during our stay the circuit breaker tripped whilst using a toaster. ||Poor Standards & Items not working correctly.|There were also basic issues with:|- dirty drinking glasses used placed back into cupboard, |- shower fixtures, shower head fitting 20mm away from wall (see Photos), |- shower mould (grout needs a thorough clean and/or replacing), |- dodgy aircon unit (had to turn off at night due to noise)|- internet signal not strong enough & screencast not working on TV|- went for a BBQ by the lake but it was out of order||But we're really concerned about the shower door and the electrics.||Poor Customer Service|When leaving the accommodation we explained the issue with the shower door and the electrics (we didn't mention the additional basic issues above). We asked for a senior member of staff to call us back regarding the safety issues. ||Two days later we received a call from a receptionist stating the shower door had been fixed 6 months prior and was pleased to say it's been fixed again this week. Minimal apology, no mention of the electrical issue, no discount and no customer service. ||No idea what has changed, but this is our 2nd visit to DiscoveryParks Handorf we stayed here in February 2023 and had a few days there and had a great time in a cabin 2 doors down from where we stayed.||We still await and would like contact, from a manger or person in authority from Discovery Parks with an explanation of their customer service policy regarding serious safety issues and do they think their response is adequate.||We've contacted and reported the events to the ACCC and await their response. ||If you are thinking of staying here the scenery, location and proximity to Hanhdorf is wonderful. We live in Adelaide and this was going to be a base for us to take the kids frequently and explore the Adelaide Hills. Due to our experience (dodging heavy glass doors isn't fun) we would never set...

Considering we paid $200 a night we are extremely disappointed with the placement of our cabin, literally the worst spot in the resort. My parents come here every October long weekend in their caravan and say how much they love it. Unfortunately, we didn’t love it as much. The ‘playground’ (you can hardly call it that, it’s just a slide) along with the mini golf were so far away on the other side of the park that we had to drive to get there as it was too much of a walk for our two young girls. Most of the people that have arrived near us have children as I’m sure most of your guests do, adding a play ground in the middle of these cabins would be a great asset to the park and this area. Especially considering there isn’t anything else around here, we didn’t even feel like we were in a resort/caravan park and this spot is 100% not worth $200 a night!! You don’t pay $200 a night for no view or no entertainment outside your front door. And $200 a night to listen to listen to the laundry out the back of our cabin was very annoying. Also, the doors, another addition would be screen doors, very strange that there wasn’t any. There was such a nice breeze during our stay but we couldn’t enjoy that because with 2 young girls we weren’t going to leave our front, or even back door wide open. I’m sorry this probably sounds like I am complaining about everything we are just so disappointed as we were very much looking forward to this trip and the cabin is AMAZING the placement of it is just horrible and should be made aware to guests whilst booking or at least way cheaper than...

It has a lake and grounds like serafinos winery estate yet it's obviously not as focused on customer satisfaction. When my son broke a bottle of wine at serafino they replaced it free of charge but when this venue failed, supplying us with wrong set of keys we found ourselves locked out of the room with our belongings at 9pm new years eve. They took 20mins to return the correct set of keys to us so we could access all of our belongings. When we suggested a discount, the staff laughed in our faces and were very rude. They said we should stay in the incorrect room and just gave us the right keys because they were too lazy to clean both rooms but they failed to realise there were three kids under 5 who jumped on every bed so obviously the room we did not use should still have been sanitised; though I doubt it was. Furthermore whilst utilizing the pool my son threw his goggles into the water before jumping in. The water was so cloudy and dirty it took some time to find them, but not before passing hairballs, hair ties etc. I frequent payneham pool and if they can keep their pool clean and clear this facility has no excuse. Even when I stayed at the rydges I was given a discount for a mistake that was made. The cabin was overpriced and if I am paying to stay somewhere I do not expect to do the dishes or suffer broken/ dirty facilities and rude service. I would rather stay at 'the lodge' which is located on the main street of hahndorf and has a clean, heated pool with excellent...

Amazing park, 4 night stay, powered site, 2 adults, pre booked. This is one of the most beautiful parks we have stayed in, the location certainly helps, Hahndorf and the Adelaide Hills, but it is also very well looked after by a great team of groundskeepers. Coming from the highway, there is no dedicated turning lane and the road is quite busy so care is needed. The park is set into the hills with terraced sites and easy access to reverse into. We were on 15, half way up a hill and each site had gardens/trees to offer privacy between. The amenities were spacious, clean and modern and included a separate family bathroom. The camp kitchen was terrific with an undercover outdoor seating area overlooking the valley and hills. Further down was a kids delight games room. Every team member we met was engaging and happy to share a chat, often giving us more insight into the park and nearby areas. We have no hesitation in recommending a stay here, there’s something for everyone.

Stayed here recently in 2023 (below review from 2019). Kids are a bit older now. A god caravan park with loads of good activities to do within and friendly staff. We found some of the site which were deemed suitable for a 17.5 ft caravan were quite difficult to back into but the park itself made up for the difficult in setting up. I would recommend a larger site if not drive thru and your over 18ft. A well maintained caravan park. The Good Points: Well maintained sites, very clean and green, a few smallish parks for kids and a large pool (not child friendly for under 7s) and a beautiful restaurant with friendly staff. The Negative Points: Very hilly campsite not suitable for families with young children. Limited shad from larger trees which are scarce. A great place to take the family with heaps of towns close by for day trips.
