Meaney's Rest — Hotel in Hawker

Can’t say enough great things about Meaney’s Rest. Firstly Kevin, Vicki and Barb were all lovely and so nice to talk to. We booked directly through the website and Kevin was very prompt with his replies and gave us a great deal … I would suggest booking directly with him. We booked for 2 nights but extended to 4 because we loved it so much.||The house itself is absolutely loaded with all the extras to the absolute max … you could host a dinner party with all of the kitchenware. A huge TV with loads and loads of channels and streaming services, a much welcomed laundry, very comfy beds, secure yard (if you have a pet), a jukebox and a very old phone to confuse all millennials. The bathroom has all the little extras and fluffy towels. The house was spotlessly clean and the very eclectic layout gives the house a lovely sense of comfort and warmth … we just loved it here. Kevin has gone to a lot of trouble to make the instructions for any devices easy enough for any baby boomer to use like a pro and we left there thinking we cannot go another day without the trusty ‘hey google’ device.||It was clear to us that Kevin has travelled a lot and knows what little extras really count with people and has delivered. The level of care and pride and friendliness we experienced from Barb, Vicki and Kevin means we will be back for sure and I would have no hesitation in recommending Meaney’s...

My mum and I stayed 2 nights at Meaney's Rest in May 2018. All I can say is Kevin and Vicki are wonderful hosts ... and they are really dedicated to ensuring their guests have the best experience. The cottage is very attractive with a mix of heritage and modern living with a number of very thoughtful and original touches which give it it's own character, and make for a memorable visiting experience. It is very clean. Heating was very good. Vicki gave us a real welcome, and ensured we were just fine during our stay. Kevin gave us plenty of very helpful local info before and during our stay. Meaney's Rest is one of the very best places we have stayed, and we have stayed at scores of places in our travels. Thank you...

Meaneys rest is the most convenient, comfortable and reasonably priced accommodation in Hawker. We loved staying here. The B&B is spacious and clean. It had entertainment to keep the little ones preoccupied and was thoughtfully decorated with easter bunnies on our stay. ||The B&B is close to shops, petrol, gallery and playground. It’s a few minutes to lookouts and reasonable drive to see the Flinders ranges. So definitely the best out there! ||The owners are responsive and accommodating too.
