This is a wonderful holiday park right on the beach. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. We stayed in a wheelchair accessible cabin right on the beach front which I loved. I had not had a holiday in ages and this is somewhere I would happily return.
The beach is nice and wasn’t overly crowded even on Saturday. During the week it was fairly quiet. There are rocks to explore also. One fun thing was on the hillside there was a herd of cows that moved around, so we played spot the cows. We had ducks walk by the cabin at dusk and early morning twice.
The parks many fabulous features can be found online, but I will mention something about the accessible cabin because finding wheelchair accessible accommodation isn’t always easy. It’s also worth noting that the pool has a disability access ramp.
Unfortunately the park has no disability beach chairs to hire or a beach mat for wheel chairs. These things are hugely expensive and it’s worth noting that they are out of most people’s budget. The NDIS does not fund them either!
The disability cabin: You can park next to your cabin. We had a ramp for the chair, but there are a few stairs in the other cabins. Inside was spacious enough for the three of us. The second bedroom was quite small with double bunks, but the main bedroom was big enough and the bed was well placed and at a good height for wheelies. The shower and toilet are excellent with plenty of room to manoeuvre your wheelchair. There are grab rails, a pull down shower seat and detachable shower head. There’s a full size refrigerator, microwave stove top and stove. You can’t get your wheelchair under the bench to cook or wash up. We had an outdoor table on our covered verandah and we sat here to eat, drink, chat and be merry. I could see and hear the beach from our verandah or even from the couch inside when I had...
Read moreIf you have young children and are looking for a safe, clean and friendly place to holiday by the beach then this is the place to be.
We have been trying to get a booking here for 4 years and it was worth the wait. Our cabin was great, the water park and wading pool were great, kids activities were well organised and the staff were wonderful.
The beach is small and quiet. There is a long flat stretch that is perfect for little kids to wade in.
There is a reasonably priced cafe and shop on site and the toilets/showers for campers are clean.
We have stayed in several caravan parks and have sometimes had bad experiences with noisy (drunken) neighbours. This was not the case at Easts Beach. People were well behaved and friendly, although, if you have very small children (
Read moreThis would have to be the most overrated holiday park I have ever experienced. Lets start with the service. Absolutely atrocious. Got there at 2pm, check in is at 3pm. Reception made a comment oh you're early. Please come back at 3pm. Then she continued, you can't leave your car in the 15min parking. Her tone was extremely rude. I came back at 3pm, only to be told my room was still not ready and to wait for a phone call. Still no access to any facilities including toilets. Finally got a phone call at 4.30. They tried to shut me up with a $10 voucher for the park café. The shower was shocking. I had my son in there it took forever to get the temperature right, then half way through the shower the water came down scolding hot, called service, they said it was because another tap was turned on. Tried again with the next shower, made sure no other taps were turned on for the duration, same thing happened. Couldn't even enjoy a shower! Nothing is included. Have to pay for hire of anything and everything. We paid top dollar for the worst service and amenities. Even on check out, I was asked, how was your stay, I said it was a very bad experience. The lady replied oh no. And that was it. She didn't ask why, wasn't interested to further investigate to maybe try and redeem the park. The staff need to realise they work in the hospitality industry and this level of service is totally unacceptable. I understand they may be under pressure as it is the beginning of the peak season, but if you can't handle it, find another industry to work in. This was my first time, and definitely my last time. If I could have given no stars I would have. Definitely not...
