Eating freshly made croissants while listening to kookaburras - what a way to start the day with joy. What a special place to stay.||As well as luxury and pure charm - and spa bath! - this B&B is in an absolutely perfect spot for walking. In fact I didn't have any idea just how good until I got there - you can wander down the road until you meet a sign indicating Clarke Track, and from there you can roam the Ranges, straight away finding yourself amidst Mountain Ashes and tree-fern gullies and wallabies and lyre birds. You can walk over tracks that join up to all sorts of special places, including the 1,000 Steps trail. Or follow Clarke Track around until it meets across the road from the Lloyd Track and the Sherbrooke Falls area. Breakthrough discovery was that the Melway app has all the tracks clearly marked, and as they are also labelled well on the ground, you can just take off and rove and explore, off the usual daytripper routes and into some absolute wonderlands.||Also a big shout-out for the best public-transport directions I've ever had from an accommodation host, from owner Justin! Train to Upper Ferntree Gully, then connecting 688 bus with destination Croydon, sit on the right, watch out for the Sherbrooke Rd sign after about 15 minutes, and once you're past that, press the button for the next stop which is at Hilton Rd, where the B&B is. Unbelievably easy to get to. And a trip I hope to make many more times in the future, because this is now officially my favourite Australian escape destination. Thank...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting this stunning castle-like bed and breakfast a few years ago, and it truly felt like I had stumbled into a fairytale world, like Alice in Wonderland. The property is situated on a generous parcel of land in the eastern Dandenong mountains of Melbourne, and most rooms are designed as standalone cabins that are scattered throughout the grounds, with some additional rooms in the main building.
The owner of the property also runs a charming farm that boasts a variety of fruit trees and vegetables, as well as chickens and ducks. The farm has a peaceful and serene vibe that immerses guests in a tranquil atmosphere. While exploring the grounds, I couldn't help but notice the abundance of cute insects and beautiful flowers that were scattered throughout the property.
The facilities within the cabins are spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, with each one featuring a large bath that is spacious enough for two people to use at the same time. The breakfast served on the property is absolutely delicious, featuring fresh fruits and scrumptious croissants.
There are also many picturesque tracks near the bed and breakfast that make it the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of Melbourne city life for a while. The air here is incredibly fresh, and I am eagerly anticipating my next visit to this...
Read moreWe loved everything about our beautiful Parisian getaway. We felt at home the moment we stepped into the cottage. Upon opening the door, we were greeted with welcoming French décor and French music softly playing in the background. The amaizing large windows allows full view of the beautiful rainforest. The attention to detail is superb, from the Parisian décor to the delicious freshly baked croissants and freshly baked bread. Fresh eggs from the hens, herbs from the veggi garden. And picturesque flowering pathways... Beautiful!! We enjoyed our complimentary French wine with a delicious plate of antipasto on the balcony. Just sublime. Admiring the rainforest while listening to French music and the sweet song of birds in the background. We have found Eden🙂 Our hosts, Justin and Lin were amaizing, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was to much for them. We have stayed 3 times, each time in a different cottage (some photos attached of each cottage) . Each stay was over Christmas, each time for 5-7 nights. It was a break we both needed. Thank you for such a beautiful place. We did not want to leave and look forward to staying again. It will be hard which cottage we choose next time as they are all...
