Β Β Β Read moreOur recent stay at Taunton Farm Holiday Park provided a mixed bag of experiences worth noting.
Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the staff, who unfortunately couldnβt accommodate our request to swap our uneven tent site for a flatter ground due to full booking. This left us grappling with a tent site littered with tree roots, making it uncomfortable to navigate and raising concerns about potential damage to our gear.
Despite this setback, the inclusion of ensuite facilities was a welcome convenience, albeit with occasional wait times due to limited units. An expansion of these facilities could greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
On the downside, the outdated kitchen facilities left much to be desired, indicating the need for significant upgrades to align with contemporary standards.
However, the campgroundβs proximity to Margaret Riverβs tourist attractions was a definite plus, offering easy access to local sights and activities.
In conclusion, while Taunton Farm Holiday Park has its merits, including friendly staff and convenient amenities, the uneven tent sites and outdated kitchen facilities detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay. We hope that improvements will be made to address these concerns and elevate the guest experience...
Β Β Β Read more3 night, pre booked stay, 2 adults, WA school holidays last weekend. October 4-6th. Park is situated just north of Cowaramup on the highway, with a dedicated turn lane. We took issue however as the signage had not been updated to reflect Discovery Park and instead read Taunton Family/Big 4 leaving us to think we had the wrong park and went in into town to call and check. It would have been helpful to have advised us by email /call or text of this when we booked. We raised this at reception when we checked in and was told signage was delayed, this was the same response when I emailed head office to advise that the issue had caused us a near accident when trying to re-enter the highway after we thought it was the wrong place. The park itself is rustic, borders in part onto a dam with terrific birdlife and is geared towards families with a big play area, daily animal feeding and lots of green space. Big camp kitchen and well appointed although dated amenities are well kept. We had a large site which was facing the dam but all others were generous sizing and plenty of aspects to choose from. Daily duck family visits were lovely and although the park was busy it was a...
