I’m rating 5 stars because overall the place was excellent but I wanted to ensure anyone seeking accessibility is aware of limitations of the accessible cabin. We stayed in the accessible cabin (though fortunately did not need specialised accessibility ourselves), but I happen to be an OT and was disappointed to find many aspects that would make the cabin extremely difficult, if not completely unsuitable for many who did need true accessibility.

The front door was very difficult to lock and unlock, it did not stay open without a chair in front of it. the bathroom door lock requires good fine motor skills the shower has a frame around it, but perhaps a ramp and floor fitting is provided if you need? The tiles were extremely slippery when wet - we had to put the spare bath mat on the floor in the shower. the toilet was very difficult to flush - my children couldn’t do it. the space to access the toilet was also small and a wheelchair transfer would be a challenge.

Outside of the accessibility, the basin was missing the pop up plug so if you happened to drop something in there, you’d lose it.

The positives that earned 5 stars: the staff were the friendliest I’ve come across at all times - when I phoned to book, pay, on arrival, and in the encouragement of my youth children with the hunt around the park. the playground is fantastic (though weirdly high swings!). Good there is a more basic one as well that’s probably better for small children. And that one has a fence. the pool area was great, a nicely sized toddler area with some shade. the activity room near the pool was great - air conditioned with table tennis, foosball, tv, comfy couches and a big connect 4. the kids hunt was entertaining for my 5 year old and would be even better for slightly older kids and those with their bike to go off independently. there was a coffee van on site 2/3 mornings - hallelujah!

Great spot and...

Good pool for the kids but games room is expensive! $1 coin for everything you touch-bit pricey & no activities for kids like drawing, colouring in or craft stuff. Box of Lego would be good or a big screen TV with kids movies maybe.

Don't book online if you want the new Shiraz or Merlot cabins near the pool because you won't get them. Instead you will be at the other end of the park with a view of the dirt track & an oval.

There was dirty coffee cups in our cabin 17 when we arrived, limited kitchen amenities. We wanted to cook pancakes for the kids & no non-stick frypan-actually no frypan at all? Unless you count the 1970's square electric steak/meat grilling pan which we tried cooking pancakes in-absolute disaster & too much stress considering your on a holiday!

Our PVD style 4 had two saucepans which were, both 6 & 8 inch's round-just big enough to cook a meal for one!? So cooking for a family of 4 was a chore & the knives were blunt. The kettle was unclean & we needed to clean this before use. Kids were looking forward to Giant Chess set-they only free activity on the bill? But no Chess pieces could be found when we went to play-also it's not Giant because the board was a 2.5mtrs square.

We still had & made our own fun for $700 (4nte stay) but the cabins are inconsistent. Seems a little disconnected when you can have a new cabin advertised on the website for the same cost as the not so good one that you may end up with.

Good luck all & definitely do your research before you make a...

Bec 🌸 you R the reason for the ........ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ........ Your the reason I'd come back to the park...!!! Thank you for EVERYTHING. -- FROM -- Pine trees, Pine cones and Cockatoos. Lifting and Moving Mattresses. To guiding a blonde woman reverse her caravan. Even taking the time, to come say goodbye on your day off 💞.. You went ABOVE AND BEYOND in what you had to do. I will remember your kindness for a very long time. ~ Tara 🌸 I would also like to say thank you to you, for finding space for me and getting Tim to help me out as well... my opinion on the overall park: • Toilet and showers Clean • Laundry ok • Pool and Grounds beautifully maintained • Caravan sites very generous in size and easy to drive through (JUST DONT GET SITS 27,45,46) --Because of the cockatoos, they will drop sap and heavy waterlogged pine cones onto your car n caravan and damage them. -- (PS hopefully someone passes this message on to whom ever is encharge of making decisions, because, I don't believe I'm the first person and I'm not going to be the last person who goes to their insurance company about damage to their property from those pine cones. You need to look into REMOVING THE PINE TREES before someone gets hurt or something much worse happens. My...

Update: The owner's reply tells me that when staying a night in my fully self-contained van I get the benefit of a whole heap of things that I didn't request and already have myself: a)Internet; b) Toilet and Shower c) Kitchen; d) Barbecue and e) Air conditioning. I certainly don't need and didn't ask for a 'meeting room' and there is a very large Tourist Information Centre in town which provides advice for free. In Summer, I might have used the Pool, but it is Autumn and so off-peak and V cold. And, I grossly underestimated the cabins - there are a whopping 45 (mostly empty?). This seems to confirm my point: Why are there costs to RVer's for lots of facilities we don't want, need or use in order to stay a night? The business model is broken. There needs to be some dialogue on this - not just price setting by entrenched operators. So, I think that $40/night for an off-peak RV stay is too much! For a fair price, this would be a 5 star stay. What you get for $40 is about 30sqM of gravel, access to maybe $2 of power and perhaps 5c of water. That got me wondering what I was paying for? The answer appears to be for the 22 VACANT cabins! Of 24 cabins, only 2 were occupied. In contrast, nearly all the van sites were taken up.

Stayed for 6 nights recently, We travelled from Victoria with our caravan. We originally had a Ensuite site booked, but prior to arrival I called to pay our outstanding amount and was informed our van wouldn't fit on the ensuite sites (too large, I did give the length of our van at time of booking) After seeing these sites I am glad we weren't on them as they are quite small. We were instead put on a drive through gravel site, Which after 6 days got very old. Especially with 2 dogs. Dust, Stones and more dust. The grassed sites look so lush & green, would love to have stayed on one of them. All in all, the toilets were cleaned regularly, the park was very tidy and clean, pool was lovely on the hot days, and the park is very spacious with lots of room to walk around, even a dog park across the street.

This is a very large park. It is well located within a 10 min walk to the Main Street. We had a lovely grassed site. The sites are on the small side. Sites should be wide enough to fit a caravan, an awning and a car. Because the sites are not wide enough, cars park parallel on site/road. With the land area of this park, the sites could of been made larger. It seems none of the grass sites have concrete slabs. The pool is also on the small side. The bathrooms are old and need renovation. The shower heads are so low, that even short people need to crouch to wash their hair. $55 a night is on the high side, but this could be due to school holidays. This is a park for the older generation, if you have kids, the caravan park at Tanunda has a bigger pool, and water park.
