Four of us walked in this morning. There were three people behind the counter one male who looked like the owner and two younger servers all of whom completely ignored us. I asked if we could have breakfast and again the young server didnât respond as she was more focussed on what the male was saying so we asked again and this time the other girl said yes we could I then asked if there was table service of if we had to come to counter and after being ignored for the third time we left as we refuse to support businesses that do not stop focusing on the roster or whatever it was to serve an actual customer. Not good enough and you need to take a long look at your customer service owners. I am not one to be over critical and assure you we travelled to come to your cafe based on the reviews so our experience is clearly one that has not occurred before or others are more accepting...
Read moreTwo words- wowee zowee. I donât know if it was the great food, the generous portions the startling menu variety, the gracious and dedicated staff or the on-tap sparkling water, but something about this place gave my life a new kind of meaning. After going up and down the Yorke Peninsula with slim GF pickings, hopping from tavern to unenlightened tavern, it was more than special to find a place that didnât make me instantly gluten paranoid. The moment I walked through the flowering shopfront and saw the Barista Sista menu, I knew I had read the word of God, and mana and nectar surely came. Serious coffee and the ownerâs own lentil patty recipe. Mwah. I wish Barista Sista would be my real sister instead of that toadwart back at home. Samantha, if youâre reading this, Mum says itâs my turn to sleep...
Read moreI'm really sorry to say this was not an enjoyable experience.
We ordered 3 coffees, 2 Michelle's breakfasts and a scrambled eggs with bacon.
I felt bad for the barista as she was making coffees solo for the whole cafe so I wasn't bothered that it took about 10-15 minutes for coffee but it might be a pain if you're in a rush.
The poached eggs had the runniest white I'd ever seen and the bread the eggs were served on was barely toasted - the butter hadn't even melted on it. The scrambled eggs (mine) were too sweet and same story with the ciabatta bread. The bacon was great though!
I ended up eating about a quarter of my breakfast and then gave half to my mum as she couldn't eat the eggs.
Super friendly service and I wouldn't hesitate to come back for...
