Well where do I start, I should of read more into the reviews, I thought the front office staff were part supposed to be friendly not rude and abrupt Fiona has no customer service skills I’ll leave it at that. Park wants to charge $5 dog fee p/night, this is the only Big 4 park I have encountered that want to charge a dog fee, why 🤷‍♂️ they are not allowed off the leash they are not allowed in the camp kitchen area, they are not allowed in the amenity block, they are not allowed in the playground, although most dogs are better behave than kids, is this another money grab? Sites are disgusting get charged top dollar for a block of dirt especially in cockatoo court and wombat, way, it’s ok to ask what the length of the van is but then the road is only 4mtrs wide and it’s impossible for campers to reverse in even if the site opposite is vacant, we watched at least 6 travellers try only to go else where. We were told no check in until 1200hrs so our site could be cleaned, crap! I had to level the site to get my van in even then it sank in the dirt yes complete dirt, so I had to put half tyre on slab to keep it level, over grown grass on edges and around water drain, broken tent pegs and rubbish that we had to pick up prior to setting up the bloke next to me got bogged that bad a tow truck was called to get him out, some trees look very hazardous, park really needs a major make over to be honest didn’t see a decent site. On a positive note Nick in the coffee van makes an unreal coffee, he should be manager of the park he’s genuine it’s a shame as Denmark is a beautiful little town with a great feel then the park lets you down. Big 4 do you do any diligence on parks before putting your name...

We recently camped here with several friends for about 10 nights. The powered camp sites we had were generous in size, easily accommodating our two tents and marquees. Overall the facilities are kept quite clean, especially considering how busy the park was while we were there, the showers were clean, had great water pressure and never ran out of hot water.

Mostly a pleasant experience. The only "cons" were: I think we must have been put in a smokers section, because 5 of the surrounding groups were smoking, which stank out our site quite often. The management drove by, slowed to look at someone smoking and then kept driving. As a non-smoker, it was quite off putting. There were also a few very noisy groups, with kids screaming late into the night at times, but it was quiet most nights.

Best part is the proximity to Ocean Beach and the channel, although it wasn't much of a channel this time (absolutely nothing the caravan park can do about that obviously).

I'd recommend bringing your own coffee making equipment or going into town with a keep cup, because the coffee van charges $9 for a large coffee! It is good coffee, but not worth $9.

Otherwise, we had a great time camping there, our kids loved the playground & jumping pillow. The kangaroos were frequent visitors and were pretty chilled out.

Edit: Maybe a reminder to people as they check in that it is supposed to be a non-smoking site and some enforcement...

Stayed for 2 weeks over 2019 nye in our camper van. Big clean, well maintained park with friendly obliging staff. Christian group were camped here during our stay and they provided fantastic community activities everyday : barista coffee, slip n slide, quiz night, kids club daily, op shop, paella nights (NO cooking for us - YAY!) plus heaps more - all were fantastic. The park itself has kangaroos, ducks and plenty of kookaburra +. Mini golf is fun (greens could benefit from being "blown" by grounds staff- would make the game more enjoyable), our 7 & 10 yr old kids loved the jumping pillow, as well as the $5 hire carts. Tennis courts available. Over the road from beautiful inlet where we saw pink snapper being caught, and just a 3 minute drive to ocean beach for the waves (surf life savers on patrol). Ablutions very well kept - shame to witness not all campers do the right thing and use the provided mop to clean out their shower stall after use. Busy time of year and the managers were very quick to patrol in the late evenings to stamp out the couple of inconsiderate campers who decided to break the standard 10pm "no noise"policy and disturb sleeping families. Very grateful to Megan and Eugene for being quick to respond. Only thing that could improve this park...a swimming pool, as sometimes it's nice to have an at camp day and chill by the pool. Thanks for...

This place definitely had strengths and weaknesses. For strengths, the staff were lovely, especially the front desk and cleaning staff. The grounds are beautiful - we were in the unpowered section out the back and you are in a little forest with the roos, ducks and kookas which is lovely. The playground is great and lots of free sports equipment. The ocean beach area is stunning and wild and there is a lovely dog beach just across the road, perfect if you are traveling with your furbabies. Unfortunately there were a lot of flaws. They had constant problems with water, sewage and power during our four day stay which was very disruptive to everyone at the park. It also meant us walking a lot further to use a different bathroom block and camp kitchen. I get that that may just be bad luck, however it was also clear that the facilities cannot accommodate the number that they get to the park. Things get very dirty, lots of rubbish, flies and cockroaches inside the kitchen areas, and poor signing explaining the difficult barbecues. Lots of the facilities out the back section are prefab. It needs an overhaul and more investment in cleaning to truly show off the beauty of the site it is on. Wouldn’t stay here again but thank the lovely staff and beautiful animals for the special moments we did have xxxx

Times of crisis always test our resilience and determination, but they also test our kindness and humanity. We aren’t sure how our own actions would have graded against those attributes as result of the Covid-19 pandemic, but we are certain that Big4 Ocean Beach would be at the top of the scale. When the lockdown order was issued and regional travel banned, it kept its doors open to out-of-state travelers like us who didn’t have elsewhere to go. Not only that, but they also provided the conditions to help us maintain the social distancing and hygiene measures that have now became the new normal. They made us feel safe, welcomed and showed us that despite uncertainty, we can all be responsible citizens with one another. Thank you, and specially to Megan and the rest of the day-to-day staff. We will always think of the time we were in lockdown in Big4 Ocean Beach in Denmark (WA) as a stay-home holiday rather than something to be endured. See you all soon! Tim & Alicia
