Located just out of Rockhampton it's a excellent place for accommodation. The driveway entry is tricky as you may end up turning into the next driveway, but easy to get into. The management is courteous and helpful! Great people to have a yarn with and can help out with your stay.
The mainroad that runs in and out of Rocky is out front and has a fair bit of traffic with trucks and local traffic. The best thing is you can't hear it at all in the mornings or nights in the rooms.
If you get the villa room, they are huge and have a king-size bed, full size fridge, small cook stove, lots of space. More then adequate for your stay (see pics). The studio rooms are smaller with a bar fridge. The buildings and rooms are clean and new, fully tiled and beds and perfect.
There is a laundry building on site with washing machines & dryers, cost is $4 for each use and is generally locked after 8pm. Washing powder is free!To get to the laundry it's a small walk from each room. Some parts down the back of the Motel are under some landscaping work and further building works.
Parking is easy and undercover for a car or 4wd right next to the front door. Areas are well lit and rooms/housing numbers are easy to see at night because they are backlit.
I have been here for work FIFO, 2swings at 5days and 3rd swing for 10nights. I have cooked in the room and the overhead air vent is a bit loud but works. For food you have to head out. I can recommend the Parkhurst Tavern for a great feed and children friendly atmosphere just down the road.
A perfect stay after a 12hr working day, trust me. Big Thanks to the Vikki, Ben and Natalie (dogs included lol)
Book in and relax !

Read moreWe stayed for a single night on the 6th Sep 24, the property is very well located for travellers arriving from the North as it sits on the outside of the city. The property looks very modern with individual duplexes each with their own carport. The carport is ok for a small car but did not cover my Ford Ranger and anything bigger would be difficult to get in there. The room was very clean and smelt clean when the door was opened. There was a full size fridge, microwave and dual hotplates in the small kitchenette. The room had gloss white tiles throughout and it was evident they had been well cleaned without a mark on them. The property is a very interesting concept with the individual units, it certainly is not an old style motel and this was a big plus for us. There is a pool onsite however we did not use it. It appears the property is frequented by workers, this would be an excellent base for anyone working within the Rockhampton area. As previously stated the carport is too small for any vehicle the size of a Ford Ranger although you can get the cab undercover, this is my fault for driving a big car so most people would not have any issue. The room felt very clinical, its all white and there is no wall hangings or features that make it homely in any way. The room is very nice and we thought it was a shame they had not gone to the effort to make it more inviting. Again it would not concern a bloke who was only using it as a base to sleep and prepare meals while working within the area. I personally found the staff to be prickly when I arrived which is not great for any establishment given the competition...
Read moreMy wife, Joanne, and I, while searching online for accommodation in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia, stumbled on a "motel" called La Casa Nostra. The obvious concern Joanne had, you might say, was the organized crime insinuation in the name. I explained that the name of the motel translates to Our Home not Our Thing as the La Cosa Nostra signifies. ||That said we were drawn to this place mainly because instead of traditional motel rooms La Casa Nostra "motel" is actually a series of well appointed villas, each with an ensuite toilet, bedroom, kitchen type sink and counter space, motel frig, microwave and small patio. ||There is no actual stove so that it fits into a motel category. If the kitchen were to be fully equipped, it would be an apartment and not meet the zoning requirements.||All that said, we had an excellent experience, for which we have to thank the manager, Vicky. She was diligent, friendly, and very professional. ||There is a barbecue and laundry room (complete with washer and dryer) right in the middle of the property. Vicky has coins available at the desk if you don't have pocket money. ||Kangaroos are in the backyard, and an excellent tavern is just down the street.||As two people that have travelled much of the world, this is the best "Motel" and manager we have ever experienced. ||Thank you! We will be back. ||All the...
